The more she talked, the more pitiful she seemed.
"Stop talking," Chloe's face still looked unwell. Her words lacked energy, but it was clear that she wasn't angry, just annoyed with his lack of restraint.
Len Hawthorne leaned in and stole a kiss on her lips. Facing Chloe's glare, he sheepishly asked, "Do we really have to sleep in separate rooms?"
Chloe looked at him and took a deep breath. He knew she couldn't stand being harsh with him. Fine, she had to admit that she was easily softened by him. "Only sleeping, don't think about doing anything else."
"Alright, just sleep!" Len Hawthorne grinned and backed away.
Just sleep?
Len Hawthorne didn't want to play the gentleman now.
Wasn't this the way he was when she first enjoyed being with him?
Chloe saw the smile on Len Hawthorne's face and felt her heart skip a beat.
She knew this man wouldn't be well-behaved.
Whatever.
It wouldn't be too late to take action later.
Men, a good beating usually set them straight.
