Chloe Stephens looked back at Len Hawthorne.

Len Hawthorne met her gaze and subtly shook his head.

Chloe continued watching with a slight frown.

After an inspiring speech, Alan Mercer left.

Chloe immediately went around the back and headed in the other direction.

Len Hawthorne appeared from the side and grabbed her, helplessly saying, "Austin Godfrey is following him; wherever he goes, Austin will report."

"Aren't you curious about the familiar Qi emanating from Alan Mercer?"

"Curiosity aside, we still need to maintain control of the situation. What if the people standing behind us are beyond our grasp? What about the others?" Len sighed, stroking Chloe's head and comforting, "We're already investigating deeply."

"Why the secrecy."

"Because I don't want you to get involved."

Chloe's face went cold and she stopped speaking.
