Chapter 32 The day:-)

A soft alarm echoed in the room, waking me up. I flung the blanket off me and sat up, I stretched and rubbed my eyes to fling away the little sleep that was still residing there and when I looked back, I saw Cami lying on her back with the blanket close to her chin.

I was about to go back to sleep since she wasn't awake but I remembered what today was!!

'The Espectaculo,' It rang in my ears and I grabbed my phone to check the time and it was already 10:30 pm and we were supposed to start at noon, meaning that we have only 1 hour 30 minutes to prepare.

'Damn! We shouldn't have stayed out so long.' I cursed inwardly and my gaze flew back to Cami who was sleeping like there was no tomorrow.

"Wake up! We need to prepare," I tapped her on her hand.

"Wha....t.....Can't that wait?" She said in a bleary tone as she dragged the blanket up covering her face with it.

"No, it can't. So get up," I kept on tapping her hand but she turned to her side backing me and then I knew that I had no choice but to do what Belinda does.....

I grabbed my phone along with the Mp3 and placed the Mp3 on her, then I played the loudest song on my phone and in no time she stood up with her eyes wide open as if she had a bad dream and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Did you dream about me?" I asked coltishly and the lines on her forehead popped up.

"Hey! That wasn't funny at all. You almost ruined my eardrum." She glowered as she pulled it off her head.

"I didn't want to do that but you weren't just waking up and remembering what today is.. we need to be fast," I tried to control my laughter as I spoke and immediately she heard the word 'today is!' she stood up in a haste.

"Yea, that's right. Today is very special and I am right here?! I need to take my bath, dress up, do my makeup, do my nails, and fix my hair. Geez," She hurried to say and without even letting me say another word she dashed towards the bathroom and made her way in.

I was arranging all the cosmetics we need for our makeup when she came out.

"I'm done, so you can go and take a shower," She smiled widely.

"Okay, when I am done I will do so," I smiled but a deep frown appeared on her face.

"No go now, we don't have time. The makeup alone takes up to an hour talk less of the rest."

"But what of what I am doing? Let me just finish besides I will soon be done" I said as I resumed arranging everything we needed.

"Leave that to me, I will take care of it," She said as she pulled my hands away from what I was doing and led me to the bathroom like a little princess in need of help.

"Okay, I am finally here. So are you happy?" I asked and when she nodded like a pleased girlfriend I closed the door.

I began to wash my body very hard as I imagined how the party will look.

'Will everyone dress classy or simple? Will I look extravagant in that dress? Should I wear that dress?' These thoughts flooded my head as I pictured the image of the party in my head when my thoughts diverted to a different spot, it flew to Julian, and I remembered what he said on the plane.

I couldn't just get it off my head, at a point I concluded that maybe he actually liked me but I also realised that there was a possibility that he was just quipping...

Maybe he was just a natural flirt and here I am taking it so seriously but I can't also blame myself because the things he says, does and the way he behaves would make anyone say the same thing.

"It is impossible and why do you even care about that?" I told my inner self in denial as I let the water from the shower wash me as if it could wash those thoughts away.

When I one with bathing, I made my way out of the bathroom and I saw Cami already prepared. She was in a straight gown, holding a medium-sized bag in her hand giving me a look that she was ready.

"So are we going to change there?" I asked her as I dried my hair with the dryer.

"Yes, we will come from there,"

"Hope that would make us get there late?" I asked.

"Don't worry, I will always be checking the time," She smiled.

"Okay, if you say so but it is all on you."

"Of course, trust me" She smiled confidently as she took steps towards the door.

"I will be waiting outside," She said and when I nodded she left.

When I was done, I went to meet Cami who was downstairs talking to a guy. I didn't want to interrupt their discussion so I waited for them to finish talking before I approached her.

"Can we go now?" I spoke from behind and when she heard me, she turned with a smile placed on her face.

"Hey, how long have you been here?" She asked and I made knocks with my mouth as I shook my head.

"I don't expect you to know that since you were talking to your prince charming,"

"Hey, you should have called me, you know that time is not our friend" She frowned and I smiled at her gesture.

"You are curious about this program. I can see it in your eyes," I said as she walked hurriedly into the cab as if where she was going is running away.

"Yes, I am curious to see everyone's dress and I know that even if you are not curious to see anyone dress that you would be curious to see Julian's," She smiled her usual mischievous smile as she spoke and I didn't reply to her not because I didn't want to argue with her about it but because it was true, she was right. I was very curious to see him, but I had already pictured what he would look like. I knew that he would look as stunning as usual, as mesmerizing as usual and as charming as usual.

"We will soon be there," She pulled me away from my thought as she spoke.

And before I could even utter a word, the word "We are here," came out of her mouth.

And when we got down a beautiful tall building with "SUNRLX BEAUTY HOME." written boldly at the top with different pictures of nails, beautified faces and hair pasted on the tiled wall welcomed us.

"Aww, this is so cute," I said as looked around the building, it had no gate so it was easy for me to peek at all the structures and the wonderful images which were pasted around the building beautifying it.

"Yeah, I did a lot of research to get this place," Cami said as she also gazed around.

After a while, we entered the building and the first place we arrived at was the reception which was made on the Linoleum floor. Banners were displaying their unique works everywhere around and everything there was made of glass.

"Welcome to SUNRLX. How may I help you?" The receptionist asked and my gaze which was fixated on some beauty items placed in the glass hung on the wall flew to her.

"I made an online reservation," Cami responded corporately.

"Which aspect?" The woman asked as she looked down at her laptop.

"Embellishment."

"Okay," She said but after a while, she gave us a paper.

"Fill it," She said and when I gazed at it, I saw the name, date of the request for service, number of people who request for service, personal or general service and other things there. Cami began to fill it and when she was done, she passed it back to the woman.

After the woman placed the paper into a machine and it turned blue. She then told us to pick up our bag which was scrolled into the room.

"You are clean," She said and in a minute another woman came and gestured for us to follow her.

She led us upstairs and as we made our way through the first door we arrived at, we arrived at a place that was covered with different cosmetics, beauty creams, dresses, shoes and bags.

She led us to another door, and this time we didn't see dresses, shoes, bags or other materials here.

The only thing that was in this room was cosmetics and I found it awesome looking at a room filled with cosmetics in a glass that connected them.

And then they were also a few people sitting down on a chair beside the mirror being beautified.

"You may sit, your cosmeticians will be with you in a few minutes," She said and then she exited the room but it didn't take up to a minute before two men came in.

'Were they the ones who will do our makeup?'

"What kind of makeup do you want to wear?" He asked as he approached me and I blinked a few times before I finally responded.

"A light one please," I said and in a wink of an eye, he began.

He took a yellow scrub and applied it to my face, after a while, he cleaned it off using cotton. He then brought my face close to a basin, poured soap on it and he began to wash it.

When he was done washing it, he used a towel to dry my face.

Then he opened the glass and brought out some cosmetics.

And in no time, I felt my face being beautified wonderfully.

As I entered the dressing room all my mind was on what I would look like? I knew that I wouldn't look ugly I mean I hoped I wouldn't be because I couldn't go through the stress of removing it and putting another one on after spending like an hour or two on this one.

But the only thing I was sure of was this beautiful gown on my body, It was so beautiful that I couldn't still believe that I owned it and that I would be wearing it. At first, I also felt the same confidence in my make up but as time passed, it felt too much as if he wasn't doing the light makeup I asked him to do and I didn't think that cakey make-up would fit me so I got discouraged.

I looked down at my gown one more time and that made me forget all the cakey make-up and discouraged feeling that was on my mind as I came out of the room. 

"Wow, awesome, I feel like I am standing beside Mrs world," Cami giggled as I came out.

"Oh! that was close," I said as held my chest because I nearly bumped into her since she was standing too close to the room as if she was the door.

"Aww, you look so pretty," She ignored what I just said and her eyes glimmered with excitement as she spoke.

"Really?" I asked and without even waiting for her response I ran to the mirror to have a look and when I arrived there I saw the most eyeful view of my life, I saw myself looking like an enchantress and a stunner.

"So how do you like yourself?" Cami appeared from behind.

"I love myself," I smiled just when I remembered the reason for all these things.

"Cami, we are late," I told her.

"Yes, that's right," She said startled and before a second, we left there as we headed down.

When we arrived down, we clocked out, then we exited the building and made our way to the cab which has been waiting for us.

"Please be very fast, don't mind about the accident of a thing. Just be fast" She said in a hurry while tapping the man as if that would help and I gave her a confused look.

"Okay, maybe you should mind about the accident but please just be fast" She also said in a hurry before she finally bounced her head on the seat.

After a few minutes, we arrived back at 'Moyin,' but this time it looked prettier in my eyes and the hotel seemed to be as excited as I was at that moment because even its flowers gave me an exciting feeling and the atmosphere became a vibic one.

I looked around and I saw some men staring at us. At first, I assumed that they might have been looking somewhere else and that maybe I didn't see them well but it went on and on.

People kept staring at me and cami including the staff but thankfully, we entered the elevator and we were there alone so we were free from all their gazes.

"Ooooh," I breathed but I didn't last long because the elevator opened and after taking a few steps I was finally at the door.
