Preparation

(A/N): So, I will be writing this fic in the first-person point of view as I think the story will progress better that way-- and I will switch it to a third-person point of view for fight scene if necessary

"It was already past twelve I, mother, and father were all sitting down around the dinner table enjoying our meals-- or that is what I would like to say if my parents weren't giving me a weird look since I look slightly different."

Although I'm enjoying my mother's delicious meal, since it's probably the last meal I will probably eat from her in a while-- it still felt pretty weird being watched like this, so I decided to call it out.

"You know it's rude to just look at someone constantly while they're eating but I guess you guys are just shocked, so let's start over what do you guys think about the look?"

I watched as my mother and father gave me a look as if they were saying "are you cosplaying or something" and the first to call out my new appearance was none other than my beloved mother Natsuki Naoko as she said.

"I think you look great sweety-- so tell me who the lucky girl is."

At those words, I began to spit out the remaining of my soda on the ground as I was taken by surprise by the sudden synopsis of what they thought was the cause of my new look.

And honestly, I should have seen that coming what was I even expecting-- but before I could even refute her claims my father came and put the icing on the cake to embarrass me even more.

"Yeah, who the new girl you even went as far as to dye your hair white and put in some rather realistic-looking golden contact lens, I must say I'm impressed you already got your amazing good looks from me but who would have thought that a little bit of dye and pair of contacts could increase my good genes even further."

That was it I had to clear up the misunderstanding before my father embarrassed me any more than he has-- either that or they were going to tease me for the rest of my life I was so sure about that.

So, I paused and took a break from finishing eating my steak as gave them a serious look and spoke.

"Mother, father there is no girl that I am interested in at the moment so please stop the teasing-- and the reason I look like this is well a-am you see I just wanted to try something new yeah that right I just wanted to try something new that why I dyed my hair white and put in contact lens a new hobby of cosplaying you can call it."

I said those words with the greatest poker face I could muster up at this point and time-- but sadly my poker face game wasn't strong enough to fool them-- it's not like I could tell them that my hair change to milky white because I became a heroic spirit and Shinigami hybrid that was still mixed with some of my human traits due to becoming the apostle of the demon god.

Even saying that in my head sounded ridiculous-- who would even believe such a crazy story anyways, yes, I could come clean and show them a new ability of mine but I don't know if that was the right decision.

So, I decided to keep this a secret at all cost-- well for now that is, I know that there will be a time when I will have to come clean about everything, but that time wasn't now.

But as I was thinking about the whole fucked up situation in my head-- my father knocked me out of my inner thoughts as he resumed the current conversation and spoke.

"There no need to be embarrassed about its Subaru, we totally understand, after all, you are at that age-- it just proves that you're a young and healthy young man."

Said my father as he gave me a rather mischievous smirk as if he intended to kill me with even more embarrassment than he already has.

But as soon as my father said his piece my mother continues from where he left off.

"Yea I'm sure whoever the girl is would appreciate the gesture, as a matter of fact, you need to find a girlfriend soon or later, I don't think you will spend your whole life luck away in your room, after all, it's not like my future grandchildren will make themselves you know."

Said my mom who was adding even more embarrassment, like honestly, I'm too young to have children, but then and again this little bickering was a treat as well-- this family bounding I once took for granted was something that I wouldn't appreciate till it too late.

And speaking about late, I literally only have a couple of hours left with them till I am forcefully kidnapped from this world.

"Might as well just make the most of it."

Was I thought as I act all tsundere in my embarrassed reply to them?

"Agh.. you guys really are... so unbearable sometimes-- I'm too young to have kids anyway."

At my reply both my parents began to laugh-- just seeing their smiles brought me great joy and to think that this joy is a limited treat I won't see for a while hurts me but its only for a while-- yes that right for a while, I refuse to leave this life I'm trying to fix behind, no matter how long it takes I'm going to come back to them in one piece and I'm sure Asura can help me if I ask him kindly.

But apart from that lunch with them went smoothly, but I know to myself I couldn't stay with them for too long since I had prepared for my leave.

So right after lunch I beg my parent well my mom if I can go out-- and after about thirty minutes of begging I finally convince her, honestly, I couldn't be mad at her she was a mother for Christ sake it is within their nature to protect their kin and since yesterday incident still left a bad taste in her mouth it was even harder but I somehow pulled it off.

[10 minutes later]

I was now back inside my room, as I began to get dressed to leave where I was going actually, well to be honest I don't know.

"What can I even do to prepare myself for an entirely new world."

I asked myself this question for another five minutes till a suggestion came into my mind.

"Well since I'm going to an entirely new world where everything is foreign to me, I think I should make the best of this world by acquiring as much knowledge as possible and I don't mean just read and hope I memorized the content no I need to carry as much knowledge over as possible and how am I going to do that well it simple-- the answer was literally in front of me the whole time."

"I just hope this works, it is also a good way for me to test my ability as well."

And right after I say that I made my way to the small compartment on my shelf that had my school notes as I picked up a book and read the title.

I then skim through the book content just to make sure my idea actually works.

And right after that I closed it and opened my left hand as I began to call for a power I had already learned to use in the Path.

And right after that blue light started to shine in my palms and when it dims down that when I saw it-- I could only smile at the result as the familiar book was in my hand and it read as such.

And just to make sure it was an exact copy I also skim through this as well and just like I hope for it was really an exact copy, even down to tear on the fifth page at the bottom of it was perfectly replicated.

When I saw this, I could only react as such.

"Holy... shit this is amazing."

That was all I could say at that moment-- what did you even expect Hinokagutsuchi was a Godsend ability as I could replicate a lot of things by mere touch and as long as I have enough mana to bring it forth to reality.

But this also means that I can bring a lot of books with me and study them later-- hell I think I could even make a huge business with the knowledge I have.

And so, I decided that for the next 3 hours I would travel all over the city and make some stops to any nearby book store I can come across, and touch all of them eventually I ran out of places in my area till I stumble on a giant Library and believe me when I say that I speed run the entire place not leaving an ounce of knowledge behind.

And 3 hours later I was stacked with a variety of books such as children's books, history books, music books, math books, Chemistry books, Science books, and more basically I was a walking library since I carry a stockpile of knowledge with me.

But I didn't stop at books I also went to many stores such as conveniences stores, Ice-cream stores, hardware stores, medical stores, and much more, and I also touched a lot of products and hell I never thought replicated ice cream made from nothing but mana taste so good.

I even went to many other places with useful items and copied them as well.

Even the cars and trucks on the street weren't spared hell I even touch the skyscrapers but my dream of summoning one was definitely not now since my mana reserve was still crap.

But after a long while of touching things, I even touch all my po- cough cough cultured artifacts-- for well for research purposes that is.

But like I said after touching many things an alarm went off of course this alarm was set yours truly as its purpose was to signal me when I only have two hours left.

--Sigh--

"It would seem that it's time to say my goodbyes."

Those were the last words I mumbled about before I left my room to talk to my parents one last time.

Well, it depends on what you mean by that and if you're talking harem wise then yes, I won't spoil but those would be considered a once in lifetime collectible to Subaru and since they can be useful of course he is going to collect them all loli or no loli milf or thot, let just say the other world lacks figurines so real-life ones will have to be the substitute.

But if you are talking authority wise then yes, he will eventually get all seven authorities but the time till he gets his first authority will take a while.
