Come With Me

Damien frowned. That was a problem. Maybe there was something weird about the animals in England? Maisie might have better luck somewhere else. 

"You've only been trying animals around here," he pointed out. "There might be some that like you in America. Come with me. We can figure this out together. Please. You're my only hope."

Her eyes widened. "Come with you?!" 

"Why not? Don't tell me you've never left your coven before."

"…I haven't. The coven leader would never let me go." 

"You're an adult! Who are they to stop you?" Damien scoffed. "Live a little, Maisie! I know all the good places in Atlanta. Help me out and I'll show them to you."

"I…" 

Maisie seemed to be at a loss for words but she was definitely thinking about it. He could tell. So close! She just needed a little bit more persuasion. What could he say to convince her to do it? There had to be something.
