It was better talking through the Oracle since she did not have to meet with him most of the time. He was her son but she has failed him over and over and she was surprised that he still stuck to her as her follower. Many would have gotten tired of her negligence and found someone else.
Seeing the thoughtful look on her face, she was staring ahead at nothing in particular. He pressed his lips together and held back the words of plea he had at the tip of his tongue to give her.
"You can go on, perhaps you will succeed in making me moved enough to help your wife," she told him when she noticed his expression.
"I know you want to help so there is no need for that anymore. It is all over your face," he told her as he returned to his chair and sat down without looking away from her.
"You think you know me more than you do," she told him shaking her head.
