A Clash Between Wolves!

Anna was transported towards a heavily secured facility just underground the main headquarter of the Ravner corp.

As she reached there, her condition was still the same. She was first moved towards an advanced operation room to be checked.

However all the doctors could find were simple wounds. Anna wasn't a normal human after all and her body as a werewolf enjoyed a high regeneration ability.

Her deep wounds were getting healed fast and now only superficial wounds only existed.

Despite that, she never opened her eyes or responded to any stimulus no matter what.

"How is she doing?"

Just as she was moved from the operation room to the scan room and then finally towards her private suite, Jeremy's voice came from behind.

His tone appeared anxious, perfectly putting out the angry and sad mix of a face that would fool most of the werewolves here.

However this didn't fool the butler, who was standing beside Anna from the journey back from the theme park. And it didn't fool Chris, who stood beside Jeremy, as well.

"She looks fine," one of the doctors remained behind while the rest went with Anna and the nurses to her suit. "And yet she didn't regain her consciousness."

'It's the effect of the toxin,' Jeremy inwardly sneered while watching the powerless body of his sister vanish inside the luxurious suit.

"Is there anything wrong with her?" he asked with honest concern. He was slightly worried that the little trick he pulled on her would be revealed by the modern equipment of this medical facility.

"There is nothing wrong in the tests conducted so far," the doctor, who was in late fiftieth, looking normal and humble as any good doctor, said.

"Oh, then what might have caused her this strange phenomenon?" Jeremy mastered the art of deception a long time ago. If not for the two who knew all his real evil deeds and his crucial part in what happened to Anna, then they might even believe his concern over her.

"I'm going to give her more healing drugs," the doctor believed the fake show of Jeremy and decided to show his real skills here, "last week we received a new batch of new drugs the researching department developed. We might have a chance to wake her soon."

"Soon?" Jeremy shook his head before faking the shock expression over his face. "Don't tell me it will take days to wake up... Oh my poor little sister, all this happened because of your incomepetent brother."

At this moment, a group of old people appeared walking in fast paces towards their direction. Without the need for Jeremy to turn towards them, he already knew they were the elder council of the pack.

He couldn't miss their scent from such a close distance.

"How is our little Anna doing?" the oldest member of the council, who happened to be the leader of the current council and a member of a rivaling old family to Jeremy and Anna, said while holding the shoulder of Jeremy in empathy.

That old werewolf was the cunning Mark Ravner, one of those who Jeremy dreamt of killing with his own hands. The enmity between the two families wasn't a secret in the pack.

Besides that cunning old wolf already left his fingerprints over Jeremy's neck in that old incident.

"She is... unconscious," Jeremy even had tears swelling in his reddened eyes, "my poor little sister... she was surrounded and ambushed... What were those impeccably useless enforcers doin?!"

The last sentence he said in a thundering tone that made even the group of old wolves take a single step backward.

The look in their eyes told Jeremy they weren't fooled by his act. Everyone in the council seemed to know something or two about the hidden tension between the brother and sister.

After all they selected Anna in an attempt to shackle Jeremy and cause a rift in his side. However with time they realized that Anna didn't hold any significance to this mad wolf.

Instead of toying Jeremy by Anna, Jeremy was the one toying with them using his sister.

And in the middle of all this, Anna was the poor girl who was destined to be toyed and even discarded after the game was over.

The butler knew it, Chris knew it, Jeremy knew it, and all the elder council knew it... But no one held any empathy towards this little girl.

After all they were wolves, and weak prey were destined to suffer under their merciless jaws.

"Don't worry, son," Mark said in a calm tone. He was the only one who stood his ground against the fake storm of rage of Jeremy.

He knew his enemy very well. Jeremy was known to be the fiercest werewolf in the entire pack, the rightful alpha as his followers loved to say, but Mark wasn't weak either.

His strength came from his deep and widely spread connections even outside the pack. So he knew about this assault long before Jeremy did. And yet he didn't move a finger or try to alarm the current alpha.

After all, he wanted this situation to happen. The absence of Anna in such a legal way was the golden chance this cunning old wolf dreamt of for a long time already.

And coincidentally enough, Jeremy also wanted this moment as well.

"We will make sure to avenge her," one of the elders spoke finally in a deep tone. Jeremy moved his reddened eyes between the group of old wolves in front of him before he wiped his crocodile tears with his sleeves.

"Yeah, I'll make sure they will pay a hefty price for that," he said before pausing for a moment, "anyone tried to harm me and my little sister will pay the price from now on."

His tone held a clear declaration of war, and yet he didn't stop at just threatening them. He turned to Chris as he gave an order. "Assemble the leaders of the enforcers and your kids. We will have a grand meeting in one hour."

Chris didn't find this weird. After all, he was informed by Jeremy to be ready to do that. However the butler didn't know about this, and he seemed to be surprised just like the elders.

"I know it's not the time to say that," Mark gave a silent gaze towards one of the elders to speak, and that old man followed the silent order like a loyal dog, "but the supreme council of the pack can't be held without the authorization of the alpha."

Jeremy didn't let him finish his words as he raised his hand to stop him. The good doctor moved away since the appearance of the old men, and yet he kept himself close by at the entrance of Anna's suit, eavesdropping on what was going on.

"It's not your place to step in, Jeremy boy," Mark joined the talk and supported the strong stance of the old wolf he unleashed over Jeremy.

However the latter only sneered and didn't seem surprised or even shaken by their words. He laughed while stretching his hand towards Chris.

And a black envelope came out from the inner pocket of Chris' suite.

"This..." Jeremy held the black envelope in his hand while waving it like a fan, "is an order signed by my dear and deeply cherished sister. With it I have all the right to act like an alpha in her absence."

His words landed and the entire group of old wolves turned to Mark who turned to the butler and the latter only gave Jeremy a deep gaze.

Jeremy knew since long ago that this butler was a double agent. In fact he didn't despise or get angry of what this butler did. After all, if he was in his shoes, he would try to gain the most interest and play on all sides to gain more safety.

And for that reason he still kept the butler breathing still. This old wolf still held some significance in Jeremy's grand plot in the future.

He would die, but not by Jeremy's hands.

"Let's go," Jeremy took the first step towards the direction of the elevator, "I'll wait for my council to be assembled in one hour... One hour Chris, or else anyone missing will be considered a traitor and I won't show mercy to such filthy dogs!"
