"Oh brother," Derek rolled his eyes when they returned home and found a familiar carriage at the front of their home. He would have preferred a crowd rather than seeing that Jane's mother had come to pay them a visit. With what occurred today he knew she could only be coming to give them an earful because they had taken the humans. More specifically, she was going to lash out at him.

Jane was a mix between being surprised and not surprised to see that her mother would be here. After their last conversation, she asked her mother to butt out of her marriage with Derek and for her mother to not visit. The first thing the children would have to be greeted by is her crazy mother. "I'll talk to her," she promised Derek.
