Complicated dinners (5)

"Lovely night isn't it," Samuel said out loud after the tension at the dinner table had become overwhelming. Their normal chatter was gone now that Aurora wasn't here and no one was speaking to each other. Minnie sat at the head of the table silently eating, his father held up a newspaper covering his face, Rachel was indulging herself in wine, and Regina was playing with her food.

Normally, there would have been a conversation brought up about Regina or Aurora and eventually, everyone else would chime in. Now, they were all ignoring each other.

"How was your day, Regina?" Samuel decided to initiate a conversation with Regina since she was the easiest to talk to but she completely ignored him. "Any word back from Seth yet? No one has seen him around since the festival. Maybe he went back home for a while but didn't tell anyone. Regina-"
