Murmurs in the office

When Jody got back home after the day’s work, it was already late and she felt the need to rest. She drove into the compound and got down from the car, locking it, before walking into the house.

The lights were off and she assumed that they all had gone to sleep. Putting the lights back on, she shrieked when she saw that everyone is seated in the living room.

“Is this some kind of occult or something? You scared me,” Jody said, touching her forehead and breathing out.

“We were waiting for you to return,” Rina said and Jody walked towards them and took a seat.

“How did your day go, kids?”

“Good,” they all chorused.

“Very good,” Bella said and smiled teasingly.

Carl excused himself and shortly, he came back with a glass of water and stretched it out to Jody who looked amused at his action before receiving it from him.

“Thank you,” she thanked him and gulped the content down in a go.

“You are losing weight. If mom sees you this way, she would get mad.”
