Chapter 36

“Forget-me-not flowers are important to me,” Kenta blurted out unconsciously.

Jensen raised his eyebrows. “Milo and I are both aware of that. The three of us had already talked about it. The forget-me-not flowers were the final gift Miles and Jon had given you, weren’t they?”

“Yeah,” Kenta confirmed as he sipped on his orange juice before he placed the glass back on top of the table and stared at the twinkling stars up in the sky. “Jon had a way with words, and he could be rather poetic at times.”

“Give us an example.”

Kenta glanced at Milo for a second or two before he inhaled and exhaled deeply. “Frankly, I can’t remember his poems, but he often mentioned that forget-me-not flowers were seemingly so fragile, and yet they were somehow strong enough to withstand some of the worst weather conditions. I don’t know how true his observation was, but I liked it when he told me that the forget-me-not flowers had taught him to be strong in facing any adversities in life.”
