“Okay. The master is straight ahead. You can have first crack at the shower. Kipp, we don’t want to be late…”

“Do I get a last kiss before the ceremony?” I asked, doing my best to look innocent.

“Of course.”

“No, I don’t think so,” Uncle Brad objected. He edged between us. “Look at his neck. What are you, Dracula or something?”

I couldn’t help blushing. I’d seen the love bites when I was brushing my teeth; well, they’d been hard to miss. Of course I’d marked Hyde as well, but he’d left some fairly noticeable marks on my neck, while the ones I’d left were…lower.

Hyde just laughed, tipped my chin up, and gave me a quick kiss. “That will have to do for now, blue eyes.”

“All right, but I’m keeping a tally, and I expect you to pay in full.”

“I look forward to it. Now go. We don’t want to run late.”
