“I’ll take you any way I can get you. If you want the scar fixed, we’ll do that when we come back. But know this—it doesn’t matter to me, mate or no mate. I’m not that superficial.”

“I think I knew that from the first night. You saw me hide my cheek, yet you invited me to dinner. That was the first time I felt almost immediately comfortable around new people. Make your arrangements. I’m all in.” Colin cuddled closer to Marc’s chest.

“We have to make plans to go to Northern Minnesota. It will be a little difficult this time of the year, but we’ll manage. I have to show my pack our mating bite, and it has to take place on pack lands. You’ll need clothing to wear for below zero temperatures. Our homes are well insulated and heated, but even the best insulated and heated homes get cold up north in the lake region.”

“What about Detective Murphy? We rousted him out of bed last night, shouldn’t we check on him today?” Colin snuggled into Marc’s arms.
