"I thought you'd found a way to completely block the visions around small numbers of people." It was impossible around large numbers of people, where muffling was the best that could be hoped forunless the seer was so heavily sedated she was rendered damn near comatose. Most of Eser's time in the Heart had been spent in a cloud of drugs and alcohol.
Living in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by only a half dozen or so servants, she could use far less of those drugs and alcohol and gain complete peace.
