8. Tricking Them

Fairy Tail was originally a guild that taught to care about friendship. The strength of the members could increase whenever they fought together against the enemy. Their bounds were so strong that it made them like getting a boost of their strength whenever they fought for the Fairy Tail. Somehow, it was similar in the game when a character got an attack buff, defense buff, or even speed buff. But, there might be a limit since the current members of Fairy Tail couldn't use that buff at all.

When they heard Izumi say that all of the Fairy Tail members that got into an incident on Tenrou island were still alive. Everyone felt Izumi was talking nonsense.

Izumi chuckled instead.

"Alright, let me ask you something. Do any of you know the three strongest magic in your guild?"

The surrounding became quiet all of sudden. After a while, Macao replied.

"I only know one magic. That magic was released when master Makarov fought against one of the ten Saint Wizards. From what I heard, it was the most powerful magic from our guild. Although, that magic is the most effective against dark magic or dark magicians."

"Hmmm, that's right. Fairy Law should be the most powerful magic. But, it depends on the user."

Macao and the other guild members opened their eyes widely. Never did they think someone from outside Fiore knew about that magic.

"Hell, I even know the three strongest magic from your guild. Why do you look so surprised?"

"Hah. I wonder if you're someone from outside Fiore or you're a member of our guild from the past. You even know the three strongest magic of our guild that even I only know one."

Macao's expression looked tired. It seemed like a heavy burden could never be lifted from his body. He glanced at Izumi.

"If what you said was true? Why haven't they come back yet?"

"As I said before, it's related to one of the Fairy Tail guild's strongest magic. As for why I know, you can guess for yourself."

"Was their disappearance caused by one of those strongest magic?"

"The cause is yes. But the disappearance is incorrect."

"You mean?"

"When they were in a pinch because of Acnologia's appearance. They unleashed absolute defense magic unintentionally at the last moment before Acnologia's dragon breath hit them. Any attack couldn't penetrate that defense. However, there are drawbacks. That magic can be used once in seven years, there's a seven years cooldown whenever that magic is used. In addition, whoever releases that magic will be sealed in the sphere that protects them from any attacks for seven years."

Izumi explained slowly. There were no confusing words in what he said. So, everyone who heard him immediately understood, but was also stunned.

Still, his words weren't convincing enough. Since all of them never saw the other two strongest magic from their guild, they thought that Izumi was just making a story.

Izumi shook his head. He knew from their expression. All of them didn't really believe him. Well, that was generally how it was. How could they trust someone they didn't know just like that?

Izumi smirked.

"I'd say, I came here with a good intention. I want to exchange my information with something. But all of you didn't appreciate it. Do you think I won't do it roughly?"

Izumi could ask them nicely. However, he could also do the opposite.

Macao stepped forward and shut them up. He glanced at Izumi.

"Do you have any evidence that they're still alive?"

"Finally, someone who can think calmly."

Izumi took out his phone. While still swiping his phone screen. He said.

"I don't know if this can be called evidence or not. But, I will let you know."

His phone displayed an animated video, where the video started from the seascape. The video continued, then showed the little girl with long wavy hair standing on the water. Slowly, bright lights began to emerge from the seawater. The swaying waves indicate a movement from inside of the water. Not long after, an island emerged from the water that was encased in a sphere barrier that had Fairy Tail's large mark on it.

"That… Fairy Tail's mark? And Tenrou island. But, this…"

Macao had no idea. He had never seen an animation like Izumi shown on his phone. However, there was no doubt, that what it showed was Tenrou island.

It didn't stop there, slowly, the video showed the guild members who had disappeared for seven years. Natsu, Happy, Gajeel, Erza, Gray, and everyone, including Laxus who had been kicked from the guild.

"This isn't real, is it?"

"This isn't real. But this will happen in the future."

"What do you mean?"

"How should I say? In essence, this thing is called a Lacrima smartphone. It could record the past and even tell the future. Here, I'll show you how they fought Acnologia!"

Izumi swiped his phone to change the episode where the Fairy Tail's members fought Acnologia bitterly on Tenrou island.

"I-is it really told the past and the future?"

"What do you think?"

Izumi showed the other episode where Laxus rebelled. Although it was animated, the gesture, the action, and the speech were the same as what happened in real life. Moreover, those were too detailed.

Macao couldn't help but believe that the device called the Lacrima smartphone could tell the future.

"So, they're still alive. I'm glad. Romeo will be delighted when he hears it." Macao couldn't hold their tears. He really hoped this information was true. Not just bullshit.

"It's like a miracle."

"I don't know what to say."

"It's been 7 years."

Everyone also started to wipe away their tears. What else could they do? Pain, suffering, pressure, embarrassment, and humiliation. Even with all those, they were still loyal to the guild up until now. Their loyalty deserves appreciation.

Macao bowed for a moment.

"Thank you for telling us. Although our expectations don't want to be that high, what you said is still good news for us."

Izumi just raised his index finger upward while saying.

"Not free."

"Do you really want something from us? We don't have anything valuable, you know!"

"I just wanted to browse in your library."

Macao sighed. To think that Izumi only wanted to browse the library. But…

"Sorry, there are not many books in the current library. Our main guild has been confiscated because we are in a lot of debt. Although I'm sure the books there haven't been touched, we can't just go into that place."

Izumi turned to Kakashi.

"How is it, Kakashi-san? Infiltrating is quite easy for a ninja, isn't it? Can you help me to go there?"

Macao, who heard Izumi, immediately cried.

"Hey, hey, don't be reckless! If we get caught, our debt will increase, you know!"

"Errr. If we go by ourselves, you don't need to worry even if we get caught since we're not from your guild."

"But, I certainly can't let you go there on your own."

"I see. So you're afraid I'll steal something there, huh?"

Macao waved his hands.

"T-that's not what I mean. The security is too tight. Even I couldn't break it. Besides, why do you insist on going to the library?"

"Learning magic. What else?"

"And I wanted to learn sealing magic."

Izumi and Kakashi answered Macao's question in turn. And in fact, their answers astonished others.

"Hold on! Learning magic? You two can't use magic? And you recklessly wanted to infiltrate that place?"

Izumi looked at Kakashi who looked back at him. He glanced back in Macao's direction and pointed at Kakashi while saying.

"We're not reckless. He is a ninja. His techniques are kinda different from magic. But he's strong, you know."

"Ninja? Not magic?" Macao was confused.

"Do you know where that place is? I'm not familiar with this town."

Kakashi asked Izumi if he knew the main building of the Fairy Tail guild.

"Easy. There are the two biggest buildings in this town. One of them is the church. And another one should be that guild."

"Alright. Honestly, what you said earlier enlightened me. That's why I wanted to learn that sealing magic. You have my thanks."

"Hey, that's kinda creepy. It sounds like you're talking to an old man."

"Hmmm, I wonder why? My instincts tell me you're more mature than you look."

Izumi twitched. However, he thought that Kakashi's instinct was too sharp. But, Kakashi was still older than him mentally.

Meanwhile, Macao approached them and asked.

"Are you really gonna infiltrate that place?"

Kakashi nodded. After that, he formed hand seals.

"Kuchiyose no Jutsu."

Kakashi performed a summoning technique to summon Pakkun and the co. The smoke covered the place in front of him. When the smoke dispersed, a pack of dogs who had bound into a contract with Kakashi as a summoner came into view.

What Kakashi did alarmed everyone. When they heard Kakashi could use different techniques than magic, they wondered what techniques he could use.

Seeing is believing. Now they finally understood that there were not only techniques in this world.

Kakashi guided them outside. When they were outside. Kakashi could see the high building aside from the church. And that must be Fairy Tail's main building.

"Where are we?" Pakkun asked Kakashi. He could see that he was in a strange place. And he thought everyone wasn't affiliated with any ninja villages since everyone didn't wear the headband.

"You can ask the question later. Anyway, can you see the high building over there? I want all of you who have small builds to look for the gap to get inside that building."

Hearing Kakashi won't answer his question, he put it aside and asked him later.

"Never mind. I'm going."

Then, some of the dogs swiftly moved toward the town and disappeared from everyone's sight.
