He might be lying to Nathan when he said that he got the flower because he saw a pitiful huckster on the street, or that his father was asking him for help to buy a diamond ring as a gift for his pregnant mother. 

But his feelings were not. 

They were real even if Nathan was yet to discover the rest of it. 

As Ryder grasped Nathan's smooth hand and led him towards the VIP table, he swallowed the wild beast that had been trying to take over him.

Never had his heart pounded louder than it currently was, when he could finally fill the space between Nathan's much slender and delicate fingers.
