"I dare not question big master's decision on that one, sir. My only responsibility has always been protecting Mr. Clyde, the only heir of the Aldric Family, with my life. I can't question nor speculate about big master's silence for all the past incidents because I'm just a servant."
When Lucas said this, he subconsciously bowed his head, not wanting to hide his position as a loyal servant in front of Ryley.
The blond was slightly taken aback by the weight in Lucas' voice, it seemed that the man was talking the truth.
"Shouldn't you at least think of what could've been the reason his father kept silent about it? Look, he only has one son left, so why doesn't he protect him with all his might?"
Ryley snapped with this question when he could never think of an explanation behind the feud between Clyde and his father.
