Well, I guess things were going OK. Everyone had been really busy since the month of November started, and so that meant that they needed to be away for a while. Even Hudson, who was planning on retiring, was very busy. I guess he was training his replacement or something like that. He was retiring at the end of the year, even though he was just turning forty this year and wasn't getting shit for money from his retirement from the state, he still had his military money so he wasn't worried.

I had been bored as well. Makai, when he wasn't at school, was working hard on his homework and assignments. He was taking fewer classes, but the professors this semester had apparently gotten together to make sure that he had a hell of a time trying to finish it all on time.
