Chapter 103: Heading Home
They lingered over a breakfast of pastries, fresh fruit, and coffee at the same table theyd shared the night before. Things felt infinitely different in the light of morning. Outside, five inches of fresh snow blanketed the garden. They ate quietly, stealing glances at one another, sharing private smiles. Their thoughts were of the night before.
