Baphomet - Goodbye

"This is grueling!" I argued as my skin burned and bobbled against the intense heat of Arsene's flames, which were not even the Flames of Hellfire. Driving this bastard a punch to the face, I held back the fierce pain that seemed to carry the Mortal Dao of Torrent within its depts; my fist met Arsene's face.

Dragging him out of the air, Levi was there just as he was about to strike the ground, slapping her feet against his chest, tearing him through mountains as though it were water. He skipped across the earth, just as Paimon was there, conjuring a force spell that did physical damage instead of elemental.

"Arc Fall!" The King of Hell thundered as the crackles of thunder roared like a prowling lion. The skies became filled with heavenly might, as from the skies, a vicious beam of might door through the clouds, like a bolt of light, with the crackles of lightning blasting Arsene out of the skies and into a trench.

"By the Hells! What are you doing!" I howled, "we're not trying to kill him! That could harm and, in some cases, kill a Sovereign. He's not even an Empyrean yet!"

"That's not an issue," Levi pointed out in front of the trench below. And we stared at the silvery eyes of Arsene lift without the slightest injury done by Paimon. Blood was spilling from his chest caused by Levi and nose by me, but aside from bits of damage, he was fine.

"No more games," Levi wearily said, " We need to take him down. Don't hold back. Aim to cripple. We'll fix him up later."

Paimon bellowed into a fit of laughter, " then I ask Lord Lucifer to forgive me, as I bully this boy!"

Demonic energies began to blare into the world, causing space and time to twist in this realm that couldn't be destroyed even if we tried with our full power. Tougher as the Hells themselves, I glanced down at the indifferent Arsene, who had not shown an ounce of emotion with grave respect.

This little shit was doing something no one was capable of doing. Unfortunately, he is still but a Heavenly God, just half a step into Empyrean.

The tattoos around Arsene began to glow, and we all paused as we watched.

"Has his eyes always been silver?" Paimon asked.

"They haven't," I answered, and Levi nodded. "They were a cold red."

"Baphomet, you fool!" The Demon Mother suddenly thundered into my ear," Do not let his Forsaken Bloodline awaken anymore. Take his spear or seal him!"

Unease bobbled in my stomach at the words of Mother, and I acted quickly. I instantly bolted before Arsene and unleashed half of my strength.

Shadowstepping out of my range, I snorted and stomped, and from the very void, an intense amount of gravity came about like a flood shattering the ground and the flames against my feet.

"Matrix of Souls," I roared as my horns began to steam with a power I didn't want to use against Arsene.

But seeing that his soul was already injured, him being a retard for a few years was well worth the risk.

Stiffening as a board, Arsene slipped out of the air, but not before Levi appeared, cleaving his left arm away with her palm and taking the spear of Noctem into her hands and then her soul.

"Nine Hells Lock," Paimon then chanted, appearing like a ghost; he placed his hands on Arsene's chest, where the runes around his body kept expanding, almost taking over his entire being, but to our surprise, the runes kept on going as if the seals were doing nothing.

"Interesting, should I use blood laws? There is no resisting that." Paimon joked, but neither Levi nor I found it funny.

Blood Laws were overkill. We were all Blood Lords and would only use blood laws in a life and death battle.

"We'll pass on that," Levi informed, using a sliver of Astral essence to bring Arsene's severed arm to him, reattaching it for him in a matter of seconds. She smiled and passed her hands through his hair, clearing away his bangs to gaze fully at his face. " You did quite a bit of damage on the—

Watching as all his injuries vanished away, our eyes went wide as even the damage I caused to his soul vanished.

"H-How?" Levi muttered, but it was then I remembered one of the Monarch of Darknesses abilities.

"We could have cut off his head, and he would have an extra life. It's one of the life-saving abilities of a monarch."

Hearing myself speak, I could only stare down at Arsene as he slept, completely unharmed throughout this entire battle, while all of us were scarred by his flames. It was scary how intense those flames of darkness were.

Not only did they burn me, but they also devoured a large portion of my life force. The searing of the flesh wasn't a big deal but had they been stronger. I fear the devouring elements of the darkness would have stolen my divinity or my astral essence. This boy is becoming quite a force of power.

"I'll still bring him to the spring to help recover his broken soul." Levi said, lifting him into her arms like he was a child; she turned to me, " What are you going to do?"

"I've been recruited by the Demon Mother to help the Fallen with a scheme," I said, feeling the utter amazement spring to life within Paimon.

"How envious I am!" He said, " To assist with his majesties concubine, the maybe baby father to us devils, how I wish to be you, my good fellow! How unfortunate, but once sir Arsene awake, I must deliver him to his majesty."

"Which is where?" I probed, as I, too, was curious where Lord Lucifer may reside.

Paimon's smile slipped away, and his aura grew darker, his expression contorted into something sinister as he leveled his eyes to me, " I cannot be sure you are still on our side, Baphomet. If Lord Lucifer is here, as is Lady Lilith, then it safe to say other Fallens are gathering as we speak. Something big is going on, and we have yet to determine which side we must side with."

I chuckled, a little grateful he said those words as I turned to Levi, staring at me, " He's right. Take care, Big Sis. It seems I may not make it through this ordeal."

Cutting a passage into sub-space, as I spoke, Levi's thin voice fell on deaf ears as I vanished.
