Tomorrow

Callon wasn't happy that I didn't get his present for him. I told him they wouldn't give it to me because I wasn't him and he accepted that. Freya however was not happy with Cal thinking he forgot their anniversary. They will work through it tho. They love each other.

I'm so excited to meet with Willow! I don't like entering Royal land but I need to see her. My wolf is much more present knowing he will see his mate.

"Hello." I say sitting across from Willow with my back to the woods constantly looking around for pack wolves.

"Hay Way!" She greets me. "So... what do you do? I mean you're a rogue. So do you like stay in wolf form all the time as some feral beast? That's how they always describe rogues but you look to put together for that."

"Wow... I'm not sure if I should be insulted or feel complemented." I respond.

"Definitely a compliment... you look good!" She says.

"Well I'm a floor supervisor at a local factory. It pays well so I have my own apartment. It's not fancy but it's home. Honestly I rarely shift it's... difficult to be in my wolf form." I tell her absentmindedly rubbing my shoulder where the rouge mark is.

"Does it hurt?" She asks taking my hand in one of hers and placing the other on my chest.

"Not in this form... I don't know what magic makes the mark but I'm fine as a human. As a wolf any pressure on this arm causes insane pain... I can't run like a normal wolf. I can't hunt. I can't fight... I'm sorry." I explain to her and I can see tears in her eyes.

"I'll get Grandpa to reverse it. I swear Faolan. I'll talk to him and..." she starts to ramble.

"No... Willow, no. I can't talk to him. I won't do it... I can deal with it. I have for three years I can continue to. This is me. It's who I am. Accept that." I tell her.

"Tell me then. What does my grandfather want from you that is so bad you would abandon who you are?" She asks.

"He wants to know why I did it... Willow, the reason I am a Kings Rogue is because I killed my Beta, his son, and caused the death of my Alpha's son. I was 16 so your grandfather wouldn't let them kill me. He kept asking why I did it. If I had a reason. I never answered and I'm not going to. They deserved what they got... that's all I'm going to say. I get it if you want to reject me. I'm sure I'm not the mate you wanted." I tell her.

"I'm not rejecting you. I believe you had a reason for what you did but Faolan, if you had a reason why won't you just tell him?" She asks.

"I... I... can't. I'm sorry. I want to be with you. I do! I just can't say it. I can't admit what was going on. Respect that please." I beg her. No way I will admit how weak and broken I am.

"Okay... as long as I can still see you I won't push it... you can tell me when you're ready." She says and I nod. Not that I'll ever be ready but at least she is accepting that I won't tell her.

Looking over Willow's shoulder I see a couple wolves looking for something or someone.

"Did you ditch your guards to meet me?" I ask surprising her.

"Yea?... why?" She responds and I see the men head our way.

"Because I think they found you." I say gesturing behind her. She looks over her shoulder. "I need to go."

"Wait!" She yells grabbing my arm as I rise from my seat. "When can I see you again?"

"Friday... in the woods. Dinner." I tell her with a grin. "Goodbye Willow."

"Bye Way." She smiles as I run off into neutral territory.

"Where's the fire, Way?!" Mac yells as I run out of the factory as soon as the bell rings to meet my girl.

"No fire, Mac, I just have plans." I tell him.

"You have no life outside this place. What plans could you have?!" He laughs at me.

"Thanks man... I'm meeting someone." I smile to myself.

"Ooohhhhh!! Faolan's got a girlfriend!" He taunts. I feel my face light up in a blush.

"Maybe... I mean she hasn't called herself that yet but we're ment for each other." I tell him.

"Ment for each other? You are so sappy man." He says.

"It's part of the culture I was raised in. We have one person made for us. She is mine. I'd do anything for her." I tell him.

"Sooooo... you're whipped. Okay man. Have fun!" Mac chuckles as he allows me leave.

I run as fast as I can so I can shower off the sweat and grime of an 18 hour day and hopefully get some sleep before dinner. Why did I agree to overtime again? As soon as I'm clean I set an alarm for 5PM. 4 hours sleep. If I can just nod off....

I hear my parents talking as I creep carefully down the stairs for dinner trying not to make noise. As a ten year old I'm always trying to hear the secret information shared by the grownups away from my itching ears. I hear an extra male voice coming from the dining room where my parents are, telling me we have company.

"Just get in here and stop sneaking around, Faolan!" My father scolds. Dang his great hearing.

"Way, honey, I'm sure you know who this is. I'd like you to meet our Beta." My mom says leading me to my seat next to the Beta.

"He's offered to train you personally! Isn't that great!" My father exclaims as mom serves dinner.

"The boy shows promise." The Beta says grabbing my shoulder.

"He trained the Alpha's son and most of our top young warriors. It's truly an honor." My dad can't stop smiling and I can see the pride in his face that I was chosen.

The adults talk through dinner. I just feel uneasy about all of this. The Beta keeps looking over at me oddly. He keeps brushing up against me and I'm not sure it's an accident.

"I think training should start tonight." The Beta says as the meal ends. "I'd like to see what we'll need to work on. I'll tell you now it will be long hours and hard work. Are you ready for that Faolan?"

Maybe I was wrong. He kinda seems like my dad. All business. Am I ready for intensive training?

"I'll do my best sir." I respond.

The Beta leads me down the path. He turns and we head away from the training grounds.

"Um Beta? I think we're going the wrong way." I say.

"I train at my house." He responds and I nod following my superior.

"Strip." He orders once we are in his home.

"Okay. I guess we're starting in wolf form then." I say to him as I begin to undress. I don't know why we'd do this inside but I guess he just wants to see how strong my wolf is. There's definitely not enough room to fight in his living room.

"I didn't say shift." He responds. "Follow me." He leads me upstairs.

"What type of training is this, sir?" I ask utterly confused.

"Keep quiet and I'll make you into a warrior. You wouldn't want to disappoint your father now would you?" He asks opening a door.

"N..n... no sssir." I stammer. What is going on he's starting to scare me.

"Then be a good boy for me." He hisses pushing me in his room.

"No!" I sit up in bed. Not again! No! I should have said No! It's my fault. I never stopped him... he's gone now... I did stop him.

As my breathing evens out I look at my phone. 4:30PM. No point trying to sleep more. I can't believe the dreams are back. I find my mate and he renters my subconscious. Talk about crappy timing.

"It's because you need to tell mate. You need to talk about it... to heal... burying the memories isn't helping." My wolf tells me.

"No!... she'll think I'm weak. I can't do that." I reapond.

"She will love you... heal you... you need to tell someone." He insists.

"You know as much as I miss you, wolfie, if you keep this up I'll block you out. I'm not telling anyone. Speaking it gives it life and I'd rather it stay buried." I tell him and he get's quiet.

"Stupid human." He mumbles a few moments later as I am getting ready to go meet Willow.
