45: Puberty

Brian decided to stay.

His heart was broken by what he did to his family, even though it was self-defense and an instinct that took over him and saved his life.

He saw what Klein was able to do, he also wondered how he disabled his 'demonmode' as Brian likes to call it, to which the answer was simple: His Unholy energy was not enough to keep the transformation, so he just changed back to his human form, so if he wants to keep at his human form he needs to learn how to control his energy and keep it from changing his body. It would be simple for him to learn, Klein also instructed him to try and make his energy more 'pure' if that makes sense. He didn't know what he was talking about until he pointed out the energy inside his body which caused pain to him every once in a while and how it was destroying his body inside out.

But he didn't need to fear. His own body was regenerating and keeping the destruction of his body at bay, to it Brian felt a little grateful. "So, can you take this 'Holy' energy from me now?" Brian asked Klein as he was sitting beside him, Klein just shook his head and said: "Everyone can adapt. And I am curious... If you wish to learn from me, you must at least get used to this pain, to this energy, and even develop resistance to it. So you may never be hurt by that energy again." Brian soon understood why Klein hasn't completely removed that energy from his body, so he could adapt to it and create a resistance to it. "I understand. Then, can you train me?" Yoinaegi, who was listening to the conversation just silently smirked as he thought of the suffering Brian would be through.

"Are you sure you want to learn from the Wicked Angel?" Klein asked in a smirk, his canines were slightly bigger than before, Brian nodded and said: "I'm one hundred percent sure."

Oh boy. He would one day come to regret those words.

Japan - Dawn of the Quirks: Day 1

It was night when it happened.

Shaun and Daniel were in the apartment that they share with Chloe and Max, after all, they were Klein's students, and theys good together. Sometimes Shunsuke, Mikaboshi, Azuka, Nemuri, Arko, and Herald would come to visit, normally Herald came to see if he could speak to Klein or if Klein had any information about someone named William Williamson... What kind of father would name his som William Williamson? Unless the father's name is also William. So it would be William son of William...

Anyway, after Klein left them in Japan to relax and live their lives, they did just that. The past year was very peaceful for them as they did not need to break their bones or exercise too hard, of course, they exercise and practice but to keep their shape. Daniel is now 15 and started dating a girl he met, Shaun is now 20, Shaun has come and gone between relationships but he never found someone he would consider spending the rest of his life with. Max and Chloe, however, are inseparable! Max is 24/7 connected to Chloe's mind and they speak amongst themselves, flirting or straight out having "metal sex" as they call it... It's pretty gross, but curious at the same time.

Shaun has been doing a very heavy workout routine, which consists of heavy weight lifting and more, his muscles regenerate fast so he just keeps exercising. Daniel has learned the rudimentary form of Telepathy, he can only show images but not words, which he is still working on. He also started to demonstrate Empathy powers as he unconsciously and randomly starts to have some outbursts and say that he can hear lots of voices and feel a lot I different feelings. This outburst started yesterday, they considered calling for Klein, but something happened.

An earthquake.

It was sudden and caught everyone by surprise. The ground began to shake and cracks appeared on the walls, but it was strange because, with their understanding of earthquakes, it would need an epicenter, the origin of the earthquake... But everyone could tell that it was coming from above them, the apartment above. This means it is someone's power! They had to stop that person from destroying everything, and they had to do it now, and the best way to do it is to knock that person unconscious. Both Max and Daniel used their Telepathy to enter that person's mind, and there they were surprised to see a little girl with long, dark hair that was glowing white as she holds her head and screams.

She was feeling pain.

Klein always tells them that when inside someone's mind, you must be careful because one wrong move can destroy this little girl's mind. Max tried to talk, but the girl's screams too loud, so Daniel did what he thought would be best and sent a powerful psychic attack in an attempt to knock her down. He had felt and seen how Klein does it, Psyshock. That is when someone takes damage in their mind, just enough to knock them down. Let's just say Daniel underestimated his power, and he did not knock the girl out but damaged her psyche, which made the girl enter a deep, deep coma.

Look at the bright side!

The building didn't collapse! Well, there were some cracks here and there, but hey, everything's fine. So like little kids that were in a house party that they didn't like, they called Klein. But apparently, he could not answer at the time, so they waited for a few hours before calling him again as he instructed them, this time he picked it up. He was coming to solve this problem and help Daniel with what he called "Mental Puberty".
