Twenty two

All Luz does is somersault in front of one of the light poles, which is actually an energy point. While doing the somersault, she visualizes in the shadow of the pole the capsule from where she teleported. Then she feels something disintegrate inside her and hears the boy with the mole say to her: "The name I told you before is not my real name, that's the name of the camp instructor and I'm not really him. I wish you safe travels, did you know that going to the highest peak in the nation makes you invisible?"

Luz's only regret is not being able to hear the sounds of different cultures around the world. She didn't have time to use that feature of her teleportation equipment. In the end her time spent dreaming proved obsolete because in the end it was a golden mole that saved her from the bell, so to speak.

But isn't she the queen of tardiness?

Luz decides to change direction to the highest point of her province because the signal reaches there better, or so according to the boy with the golden mole.

This place is exclusive for the military; from the highest tower of their fort they watch, with high-tech spy equipment, everything that happens in this small nation.

"How fortunate that this equipment can make me invisible when I am at a certain height, why didn't you say so when you indicated the instructions in public or will it be that I was more clueless than I thought?"

She spends about an hour with her ear transporting to Niagara to hear the drops fall over the sound of moans emitted by two lovers enjoying all aspects of nature. Then he goes through something terrifying when he goes to Africa and a lion is devouring a zebra. The sound of its fangs gnashing on the skin and in the background a scream not for mercy but for death to come to love him. Then he thought about how difficult life can be for some.

"You should feel lucky to have your mother around the clock in the house. That's thanks to me, because I work and dig myself out of the dirt to bring home the bread. I know about hard things, difficult things, things that you might really want to kill yourself for, I know about those things and you don't. I know about them. If they had been my neighbors when I was a teenager, believe me, I would have made them pay for my pains because I would hate them to death. Suicidal people would value a father like me, ungrateful quartet".

A tear rolls down his cheek, instead of the molecules of his body, it seems as if the cells of his soul are the ones being teleported back in time.

From Africa her ear took her to the Bermuda Triangle, or so she pretended without realizing it. Just as she begins to hear a note of the voraciousness of those waters with their tormented beauty, someone pulls her back and returns her to the camp.

For a moment she feels like she wants to lose consciousness; but she fights against the immense desire she has to fall asleep and dream of Never land. She has always believed that it takes more than just those two words to complete its true meaning.

Luz thinks it is the boy with the golden mole who holds her by the waist, glued to him in a diagonal position that compromises the resistance of her sensitive area. However, when she opens her eyes wide she is surprised to see the angular features, his high cheekbones and his mischievous and irritated look as black as the darkness of the forest.

"You know it's always your fault don't you?"

You may be wondering at this point: is this another dream or something?

Well no, this is completely real, only here there is another problem: Have you heard that in every woman there is a man and vice versa?

Yes, I know you hate me when I cut off the feeling of this romantic moment.

And is it my fault that the sting begins to have an effect on the sweet weakness of this demon who has a name and a surname: Luz?

Remember I said she was bitten by a libidinous mosquito; well, I can't tell you anything about the mosquito yet, but I can tell you about her sting directed at Lucinda Villareal.

That she was bitten by an insect on the tip of her nose is not a coincidence, it is a causality and a bad one. I could let you find out for yourself, and yes you will find out for yourself, but I'm going to tell you the part I need to get rid of this dog smell. As he has seen his compatriot, the damned thing keeps barking and I'm beginning to understand him... I mean, hello, I'm a cat and my fleas die before I have the soul of a dog.

That's why I need the demon to set fire to the shadow of his Light. This means to make him explode and bring out all his rage. That way he will act as he wants and his shadow will be left alone... alone and burning.

But they say with certainty that misery needs company and, therefore, it will take whoever needs to be faithful to another being. I don't need that, but this animal thinks I do. I am sure that when he sees a more accessible path with a shadow colored with flickering flames that provide the warmth of a passion, he will gladly go.

As for the picket, I can only tell you about it if I can tell you the story from the boy's perspective... that's why I urge little Luz to bring out the man in her.

Although it doesn't sound good on my part, I'm glad Luz is unconscious for now. Thanks to that you will be able to appreciate this magic act I call: "Light from the shadows".

It is true that I am not inside Alexis' head; but Luz knows him so well that it is impossible for her not to know something of his possible reaction now that she has passed out in his arms.

Alexis' hands tremble on Luz's waist. And that's where their vicious circle that I call "Light from the shadows" begins. For them what is a vicious circle, for me is the opportunity to perform the next act of magic that I am going to narrate to you:

Words are the starting point of a soul because they are sexless, so they are immortal. Perhaps that is why their meaning can reach the immortal part of every being existing on this earth: the soul.

But where are the words holding out until they have the opportunity to explode?

In the throat, in the neck where the passion of Alexis' fingers is caressing Luz's neck; while he lays her down on the grass and at the foot of a tree. Luz's unconscious senses her fear and the desire... or is it her own desire?

That question is annihilated by the part of her consciousness that never sleeps, that suffers from insomnia. This is because the slightest doubt could ruin the possibility of verifying what her Alexis feels.

What else does the demon want?

He should be grateful to me for sweetening the life of his beloved Luz.

Or could it be that he doubts that what Luz feels for him is not as intense as what she feels for Alexis?

"Are you out of sulfur, demon?

Are you scared or what?"

I know this all sounds very philosophical to you, but the cat thinks he's a philosopher so he talks trying to imitate one.

The magic that the cat is going to narrate can be said to be based on the philosophy surrounding Alexis and Luz's relationship.

I know more action is needed, but that's coming. I prefer not to force my characters... everything will come to them in its own time.

It won't be long before the bomb explodes.

Thanks for reading.
