Spirit Kin?

Leaning over his workbench Lumas began drawing out his plans, the majority of them have fell through mainly due to his disappearance but some of them are still viable. While his wares are still sitting in the shelf's for now, once word gets out many of the top players in Oriaro will be using them, further strengthening his hold over Oriaro… Many view him as the strongest in the city and despite it being wrong it's a welcome misconception, The Freycliff Kingdom will rise once more Lumas will make sure of it…

After a while Lumas put away various notes as he pulled out a few Ingots, pieces of hide, buckles, and some of the denser scales present in his 'Item Box'. Armor was a must in the dungeon and currently it was the only thing stopping him from entering with Dragonsin a few sizes too small he needed something fresh

Pulling out a bundle of crystal like string with his Adamantine sewing needle he got to work, starting with the boots Lumas made the outline with a rough dense hide, occasionally using thin Adamantine plates at key points to add structure and durability without losing maneuverability, He then lined the inside with a soft fur that was slightly cool to the touch, moving up some he added two fasteners on either side of the shin to add a removable shin guard

Setting the two boots aside, Lumas stepped away from his workbench grabbing a pair of tongs and his hammer moving to an ingot of Emperium Orichalcum alloy just as he was about to begin heating cycles to temper the metal a knock resounded at the door, letting out a groan Lumas set down his hammer and turned towards the door "Come in!"

Normally Lumas wouldn't bother stopping what he was doing but this time he was curious, Ais was in the dungeon with Finn and Riveria while Bell and Susan were at the training grounds until night fall… Nobody else really comes by aside from Loki but she nearly kicks the door open any time she comes over unless she's joining in on a meal or trying to bum alcohol from Susan…

As the door opened revealing a red haired youth and a tall hulking man lead by a certain orangish/yellow haired elf, the red haired youth curiously looked around the forge carefully scrutinizing the room, as his eyes passed over the various weapons carefully strewn across the room he couldn't help but admire their quality, but as they landed on the plaque in the back of the room he nearly dropped the chest he had carried for so long… It was an absolute masterpiece, the mixture of metals was perfectly done, there was no bubbles in the layers, no coarse sharpening marks, no chips, dents, or warps… he could feel the sharpness practically radiating from the blade causing his hair to rise slightly

"May I ask why you two are here?" Ignoring the hulking man currently fangirling over Lumas, the red haired youth spoke up "Nice to meet you Lumas, I am Welf Crozzo and I'm here on behalf of the Hephaestus to drop off your earnings"

Pointing to a corner of the room Lumas spoke "Just set it there, and don't touch anything unless you can tell me the materials they're made of…" Lumas' eyes narrowed at the hulking man about to pick up one of the spare hammers lying about, the hulking man froze while Welf laughed "Let's see… Looks like an Elunium-Iron Alloy… may I see?"

Lumas eyed Welf for a moment before handing Welf the sword he was looking at, Turning around Lumas returned to the anvil as he began heat cycling the alloy "You can show yourselves out, if not Lefiya would be willing right?"

As she heard her name the elf stiffened as she slowly nodded opening the door, the hulking man left but Welf said behind "Mind if I watched? Hephaestus said that your someone I could learn from" Lumas just shrugged as he focused on his work, Welf quietly sat a distance away making sure to carefully examine the process

Lumas lost himself in his work expertly hammering the metal into a large square thin plate nearly a meter wide, making sure that the metal is still hot enough Lumas began to bend it over itself before beating back down into a thin sheet of metal, this process repeated hundreds of times before Lumas began drawing out the metal into the form of the shin guards puncturing holes around the rim to make it easier to add hide and fasteners

Putting the shin guards to the side, Lumas pulled out a large dense hide. The hide was a deep black and covered in translucent scales, Susan once informed him that it was the heart scale of a True Dragon… most likely from the same beast as Dragonsin's materials, slowly he began to work the metal like hide slowly increasing its flexibility, Welf was beyond stunned this guy is using top notch materials he hasn't even seen his goddess use materials of such a degree. He could feel a resonant mana lurking within every material, this is something that he had been told was exclusive to Crozzo blood but since his time in Oriaro he found that Elves could sense mana as well…

Turning around Lumas' gaze passed over Welf and he stopped, Yggy was chattering in his head about something interesting….

'Hey… hey… hey insect, that kid has spirit blood running through his veins'

"Welf… Mind telling about your heritage?" Welf was shocked, nearly all the time people knew of the Crozzo name and the devastation one could do when provided with enough resources, with a frown forming on his face he spoke "Why?"

"Geez, no need to be so aggressive… well anyway I just was curious why your part spirit, mmm now that I think about it Crozzo's can make powerful Magic Swords right? Probably due to the influence from the spirit heritage…" Lumas slowly fell into his own mumblings as Welf fell into thought, this was the first time he had heard something like this "Hey, you mind making one? I'll provide the materials I'm just curious on the process"

Welf seemed to be disrespected as he shot to his feet waving his hands in a flamboyant manner "No! I refuse to make those weapons of war," Lumas cocked his head in confusion "You know regular swords are weapons of war right? I could probably kill more with a sword personally forged then any of your puny magic swords could."

Welf swallowed his words, the man in front of him was a Level 10 adventurer with a dragon as a pet probably not someone he should be raising his voice at… "I-I-I…" Lumas waved his hands as his attention fell back into his armor leaving Welf stunned… Lumas was nothing like the rumors described him, or did he just come at a good time…

As Lumas finished the breastplate a knock sounded at the door before it swung open and a silver bullet shot towards him, with a smile adorning his face ignoring the beaten and bruised white haired kid leaning against the doorframe he wrapped his arms around Susan, Welf took this chance to excuse himself greeting Bell on his way out

"Mhm~ Who was that darling?" Planting a kiss upon Susan's forehead Lumas replied "Some kid from Hephaestus Familia, he just sat here and watched me worked, I liked him… he didn't bother me when I was busy" spinning out of his hood Susan let out a soft giggle as she skipped over to Bell "Rabbit here did pretty well for his first time," if one didn't know Susan they'd think her gaze was akin to a predatory beast right now however Lumas' smile only softened at the sight

"Go get cleaned up, when you're done meet me in the back I'll give you a few potions to restore your stamina. Susan I want you to began mana conditioning after the practical combat practice" Bell muttered something under his breath but Susan and Lumas didn't mind it Susan nodded at Lumas words before heading to the kitchen to start dinner, Ais should be returning any time soon and Lumas refused to miss greeting her at the door.
