Chapter 41: This Means War

We made it out of the tunnel and was greeted with miles of trees. I swear if this weren't a mission this would be the perfect vacation spot. The reflective greens of the landscape glowed as the sunlight danced between the trees. Standing in the entrance of the highlands there is a feeling of peace as wind sung a lullaby of serenity. "I've lived here for practically my whole life and never knew about this." I said looking out to the open space.

"I feel you on that one Parker. They did a good job keeping it a secret at one point it was used as escaped route, so don't feel bad." Asa replied.

I was about to walk out of the cave when Asa stopped me. He pointed to a trip wire that was right in front of my feet and the censored alarms ten feet away "Damn that would have been bad. Thanks for having my back." I said gratefully.
