CHAPTER 14

I picked up speed as I headed towards my room and opened my closet door. I walked inside and went to the area where I kept my doctors outfits and picked out a white lab coat.

Pulling it around my body I did up the buttons and proceeded down stairs. I went to my office, where I had appointments with many patients and where some surgerys take place.

It's different from the study in the back garden. There I practiced and made potions and medicine..

I may still be young but I am already a healing prodigy. You'd be able to have patients by the time you have a healing degree but to be able to perform surgeries you need to have approval from an official Healing Specialist.

I've done many procedures already because my Teacher Willow trusts me enough and knows I could perform surgeries with ease.

Thanks to my title of Princess, most of the citizens in my kingdom are my patients, so I have many files of, most of the people here, and I'm very busy with appointments.

Sadly I'm only one girl so I can't take care of the whole kingdom. Luckily there are many other healers out there.

I put my hair up into a ponytail and sat at my desk waiting for my patient to arrive. I grabbed their file and went over her medical history and memorized it.

I heard a knock on the door, and drew my attention towards it. I saw my client had arrived so I opened the door and gestured to them to take a seat in front of my desk.

I took my seat behind my desk to face them and greeted them, "Hello you two. How are you guys?"

"We're doing good Princess, how about you?" The mom smiled. "I'm alright, how about you dude, how are you holding up."

The boy nodded. He has a disease in his lungs that blocks the pathway for air every now and then.

It's completely spontaneous so we try to monitor him everyday. "Come on Sky, let's check you." I hold my hand out for him to grab. I led him to the long chair and picked him and sat him down.

Handling kids as a doctor is probably my favourite part because they can be very soft and honest especially around their parents, but of course I like taking care of everyone of different ages.

I looked through his mouth, checked his bone structure and made sure his temperature was alright. So far everything is normal. I picked him up off the table and brought him back to his seat next to his mother.

"You guys need a refill on his medicine right?" I asked. "Yes, do you happen to have some ready right now?"

"I don't have anything prepared, but I can make some by tomorrow. If it's alright you can come by again tomorrow and I can give you more then." I suggested.

"That sounds good, thank you very much Princess." As I watch the two walk out the doors I take a deep breath.

I scheduled some more appointments for the next coming week and heard my door open. "Hey April you got a second?" Clarity requested.

"Ya sure, what's up." I turn my attention to her. "You know that Healer in Autumn?" "Yes, Healer Midnight. Why?"

"Well she sent over some papers and files of this patient she wants you to look after. Apparently she wants you to look after this patient thinking you can help her with her health problems."

Clarity walked over to me and handed me the files. I began to read it over and realised this patient has a rare disease.

Special kinds of cells are attacking other cells in the body. We call this Cell Aggression Disease. If the cells are too keep fighting they'd all die meaning the organs in their body would stop working and they'd die.

"Does this person have a name?" I question. "It should be at the back." Clarity instructs.

I flip pages to the back and I stop. A photo of the patient is at the top left and it made my heart drop. How could she have a disease? She seemed fine. Clarity saw how distraught I was and asked "do you know her?"

"She's a girl I met when I went to the academy. You could say we became close. When I watched her, she didn't seem like anything was wrong. She's an example of ``don't judge a book by it's cover." I exclaimed.

"I'm sorry to hear that. You should still try to take care of her. She doesn't know Dawn is actually Princess April, the amazing healer." Clarity reassured.

She does have a point, but as Dawn I'll have to keep me knowing her health a secret. It won't stop me from taking care of her as Dawn as well though. I'll just have to protect her differently.

"I'll leave you to do whatever, let me know if you need anything." Clarity said as she walked out my office.

"I moved Hazel's file at the side of my desk and headed outside to my study. I began to make more medicine for the boy and contained it in a small bottle easy enough to just hold in your hand.

I strolled back into my office and left the bottle with the rest of the medicine for tomorrow and took off my white coat and hung it.

I checked the time on my watch and realised lunch is almost ready. Do I want to eat? I'm not feeling very hungry right now.

I closed my door and went to the library, since that's normally where Graham works. "Graham, are you here?" I raised my voice.

"I'm here Princess. Is there something you need?" He says from the top shelves. "I'm not feeling hungry right now, and I'm feeling tired after those exams I took so I think I'm just gonna go to bed early for today.Have my family wait up for me for dinner."

"I'll make sure they know, but are you sure Princess? A young lady like you still needs nutrients." Graham reassured. I nodded in response. "I'll just grab some berries for a snack."

I walked out and headed for my room. I changed into some comfortable shorts and shirt and tucked myself in bed. "I have to wake up for school now. This'll be interesting. I need to also learn how to transform as Dawn." I thought.

I closed my eyes and slowly drifted to sleep, thinking about tomorrow.

I woke up to the sunrise hitting my face and sat up. I stretched out and thought about my schedule. "Right school."

I stood up and fixed my bed right away, and chose something to wear. I opened my room door and rushed down stairs for a quick breakfast. I sat in my chair and waited.

Suddenly one of our chefs comes into the room to give me a plate of food. "Thank you." I thanked, watching her walk back into the kitchen.

I finished my food and cleaned up my area. Heading out the door I went around the back. I hold my necklace and call Petal. Petal flew out of my necklace and hugged my cheek.

"Good morning Petal." I greeted. "Hello April!"

"Can you turn me into Dawn again? This will be a weekday routine thing now." I explained. "Ok April." She says transforming me into Dawn.

"Before you go, can you tell me the new words to transform me as Dawn?" "Right, I forgot that changed too. You can say Petal raises the sun, and to detransform you can say, Petal sun set."

"Are you sure you want to keep the same name?" "I think it's fine. It's the same thing as real people, just because they have the same name doesn't mean that they're the same person." Petal exclaimed. She had a good point.

I shaked my head and Petal disappeared into my necklace. It was time for me to head to the school so I walked around to the front and made my way through the village.

People didn't come up to me since I don't look like a Princess. As far as they know, I'm an average girl who is going to see if they passed the exams for a powerful school.

I messaged my friends to see if they were on their way to the academy, and they all replied saying they're making their way here.

I walked to the gate, and through the forest and arrived at the school. I looked for my friends at the entrance while I waited for the doors to open to check the scoreboard.

Coming from different directions I see my friends in their new identity. We stayed with each other until the time came, and refreshed our minds of what our new names, as well as powers.

Everyone remembered to ask for their new transformation words, so now people won't question us about not using our wings.

The garden began to crowd and many teens were excited for the results. You have to be in the top 2500 to get in. It seems easy, but there are 10,000 people competing to get accepted into this school. So it's harder than it sounds.

The doors began to open and everyone made their way inside.

Everyone lined up and took turns checking for their name on the board. It was soon me and my friend's turn and we immediately looked up at the top of the list.

There were all four of our names directly under each other all with perfect scores. As I predicted, though some people came very close to a perfect score. Many people scored 490 points.

We all high-fived and moved out of the way for the rest of the students and let everyone else get a chance to look at their scores.

I heard a faint voice behind me and they seemed to be yelling my name, and it continued to get closer until it was clear.

"Dawn!" the voice shouts. I'd recognize that voice anywhere.

I looked back and scanned the area to see where she was and saw Hazel running towards me waving her hand.

"Hey, wait up." I slow down and wait for her to catch up. "Hey Hazel, how've you been?" I wondered. "I'm doing alright I guess, but you should be ecstatic! I saw that you got a perfect score. That's amazing I heard only 3 other people could get top marks!"

"Yes it was very unexpected." I say with a smile. I know I'm supposed to be princess and good at everything I do but I was totally freaking last night thinking of the consequences if I failed. I stayed up most of the night thinking about it. "How about you? Did you pass." I meant to check for your name but I got really excited when I saw I got a perfect one and didn't look for your name."

'Luckily I passed.! I received 430 points."

"That's awesome!" I exclaimed."Oh and have you seen Hunter around? Do you know if he passed?" I asked Hazel. "Yes he did, I haven't seen him yet but I looked for his name and he passed with 473 points."

"Good for him." I responded cheerfully. I was happy we all passed. "It's almost time for us to get to class. Where do we find who's class we're in?" Summer speculated.

Me, Winter and Autumn all looked at each, face full of confusion. Do any of us know that answer? "Let me ask." Hazel said.

Hazel left and followed the crowd of people towards some other students. She came back and told us "We have to go outside. There's a poster that says your class and teacher."

We followed Hazel outside and found our way to part of the garden where there's a table filled with sheets of our classes.

I said my name to the teacher and she handed me my classes. As soon as everyone got their teacher we checked if we had the same one. We opened our papers and realised we all had the same teacher, including Hazel.

"We have this teacher named Mrs Coral." Winter said. We checked for her room on the map of the school and followed the arrows towards it.

Once we reached the doorway we took a quick peek inside the room and didn't see anybody so we took seats relatively close to each other.

I took a seat on the right of the room second closest to the front. Summer decided to sit behind me, and Winter was to my left. Autumn took the seat in front of me, so I could see all my friends pretty easily.

Hazel chose her seat on the other side of the room, she dropped her book on her desk. Hazel then made her way over to us and we all talked about how our day might go and our schedules for the day.

Soon enough a bunch of people showed up and made their way around the classroom choosing seats and talking with friends. We sat there silent as we watched the students and waited for the teacher.

Class was starting soon and I was confused as to why some students hadn't arrived. I checked the time and began to talk more with my friends. The teacher struts in and the class goes silent.

I moved my attention to the front of the class and waited for her to start talking, but right after she finished writing something on her board a group of people came into the room following this girl.

Why were these people following her around like she's royalty? If she is royalty I would definitely know her if she was, but I've never encountered this girl until today.

Everyone took their seats and we soon began class. "Hello Class, welcome to your first day here at Seasons Division Academy! We'll be exploring many different types of things you'll need to live in each season and for your future."

This intrigued me. I wonder if I'll learn something new here. We started our first lesson and began taking notes. This class started off with basic work about the history of seasons.

We received a break in between classes and we hung out in the hallway while getting ready for our next class. I was still weary of Hazel, every now and then I would glance back at her to see if she is doing alright.

"Alright everyone back to your seats, it's time for me to explain 50 percent of what you'll be doing here at this academy."

We rushed to our seats since most of us were intrigued. I believe that she's going to start talking about our missions.

"You will receive a specific grouping that you will be a part of and they will accompany you on your group missions." Mrs Coral explained.

I'm certain they'll put me and my friends on one team.. Unless they don't want us together because we'll be too overpowered. I don't want to be apart from them though. "I have gathered the groupings already, and we also put titles for each group that you guys will be going by for future missions with multiple teams, it just makes it easier for us to call you guys."

Everyone waited for their name to be called and got excited whenever they knew someone in their group.

Finally she reached my group and called our names "Dawn, Holly, June, and Axel will be one team. I'm naming you guys the royal team. Since all four of you passed the physical combat exam with royal mode. Congratulations by the way on that."

I looked at my friends and happily smiled. So far everything is going as planned. The class finally finished after talking about our plans tomorrow and the missions we'll be going on.

I left the room next to my group and we went our separate ways towards our kingdoms. As I'm walking on the pathway I feel a presence behind me so I kept my guard up.

I quickly felt a hand on my shoulder and so I grabbed it and flipped the person in front of me on the ground. As I see who it was I quickly let go.

"I'm so sorry Hunter, I didn't know it was you walking towards me." I said concerningly.

"Ouch, it's ok, I should've expected this would happen from someone who passed the royal mode."

I smiled nervously, I guess he was right. "I just wanted to say hi and see if you wanted to talk to the gate."

"Definitely, that'd be great." I answered.

I followed next to Hunter towards the Spring gate and continued talking about tomorrow. I can tell Hunter was excited to go on a mission tomorrow. I believe him and Hazel were in a group together. Called the Bloom team.

It fit quite perfectly. Everyone in their team had great potential to be something great, so I completely agree with that team name.

We reached the gate and said our goodbyes. I went to the castle and I changed back to April again.

What do I have to do today?
