She stared at the closed doors in the end of the dark hallways. Lanterns are the only ones that lightens the place and her tears were glimmering when it poured out of her eyes. She held the skirt of her black gown before taking a step forward. Will she be able to accept the fact that she can't conceive a child? She just learned about it when they started living together. She immediately wiped her tears and smiled gently when she arrived at their chamber.

"My king." Those words are already genuine. He is finally her king. He smiled back at her and she wanted to cry once again when she saw how soft it was.

She sat on the bedside and he lightly brushed her hair to her left, reaching for the zipper of her gown. It slowly slipped off from her body and she stood up to face him. Her hands landed on his broad chest and it fumbled his clothes until both of them were already naked. She doesn't know how she will be able to tell him the truth. She took a deep breath and buried her face on his chest instead.

"My king, I'm sorry.." She mumbled and her body started to tremble. He wrapped his arms around her and his hand caressed her hair.

"I know.. It's fine. Being your husband is already enough for me." He tried to be cheerful when he said those but deep inside, he always wanted a child with her.

"I'm really sorry.. I should be carrying your child but I can't do it.. My body can't do it.." She wasn't able to stop her tears anymore. He cupped her cheeks and stared deep in her eyes.

"We will work it out. Don't cry. I don't like seeing you crying." He whispered while wiping her tears. She slowly nodded her head but still, she is feeling heavy that they need to go through this situation.

The servant is carrying a tray containing a pitcher of water and an empty glass. The king told her to bring the queen some water. Everyone noticed how the queen's consumption level for water went up. She is usually asking for a glass of wine but since she is pregnant, all they want is keep the baby healthy inside her. She bowed her head when the prince arrived and took the tray from her.

"I'll bring this to the queen instead." He said and she bowed once again before going back to the kitchen.

He stared down at the water and threw it upwards, kicking it away. A loud crash echoed throughout the whole kingdom and guards and servants rushed to him to see what happened. His eyes turned pure black and put up a cold facade. Someone just dared to put poison on the queen's water. It is a good thing that he went back to the underworld to make sure that everything is fine.

"Don't dare to poison the queen or you'll end up being killed." He growled and he pulled out his black twin katanas.

He didn't mention any names but they know that it is a warning for everyone. His eyes went back to his usual light brown orbs and he proceeded to the kitchen to look for the servant who prepared the water earlier. When he arrived there, all the servants lined up and he ordered them to kneel. His cold eyes landed on that certain servant and fear filled her eyes.

"Mind to know who asked you to put poison in the queen's water?" He asked, pressing the sharp edge of his katana against her neck.

"I don't know her name, my prince. She got my family and she threatened me that if I would not do it, she would kill them. I just want to save my family, my prince. I didn't really mean to do it. Please spare me, my prince." She started crying hard.

"Bring her to the dungeon. Bring her family here. Dead or alive." He said and the servant cried harder as he walked out of the kitchen.

He went to the king and the queen's chamber and knocked first before opening the door. He saw the queen asleep on the bed while the king was sitting at the side almost asleep but his arrival woke him up. He sat up properly and looked at him with a questioning look. The prince closed the door behind him and walked towards the king, bowing his head.

"My king, I'm suggesting to you that the queen should give birth in the human world instead." The prince said in a low voice, looking at the sleeping queen.

"Is there something wrong? I heard a loud crash outside and it is a relief that it didn't wake her up." The king said.

"She's not safe here, my king. If I didn't arrive earlier, she would have been poisoned. The water she is drinking is not safe. Someone is after her and the baby." The younger one whispered and he furrowed his brows.

"Why would someone do that? We're not doing anything wrong, Sho." The king stood up from his seat and carefully carried Gia in his arms.

"Yes, we are not doing anything wrong but it doesn't mean no one will ever get jealous of what we have right now." Sho opened the door for them.

"Where is Fuyu?" He asked and they went the other direction, going at the end of the hallways where they can use to get through to the human world.

"At the playground with Hanahime. Yuuki is at home. I told him to stay there." Sho answered and he opened another door.

"Stay here. You know what to do." Riku said and he nodded his head before closing the door. He turned to his left and saw a silhouette in the other end of the hallways.
