Overprotective Father (3)

"So, Zhexi. If you don't mind me calling you that."

"It's fine, Mr Xu. Call me whatever you want."

"What do you like about my precious daughter?"

"I don't like her but I love her the way she is. Basically, everything about her."

While answering question, Mo Zhexi looked at Xu Wenwen tenderly. Xu Wenwen blushed at his answer.

"Even her bad side?"

"Yes."

Father Xu didn't expect Mo Zhexi would answer his questions tactfully.

"Cough.... Okay. Then, come to my study after dinner. We'll have a private chat together."

"Sure, Mr Xu."

Father Xu looked at his daughter's face. He saw a blissful face whenever that brat was talking to her.

There's actually nothing to test. As long as his daughter like it, he will grant his permission. He just want to look how does the brat make her happy.

After finished eating dinner, Father Xu led Mo Zhexi to his study.

Xu Wenwen was worried and she wanted to come along but stopped by her mother.

"It's okay, dear. You father won't make things difficult for him. Come, cut some fruits with me. We'll eat together when they're done."

Although she still anxiously nervous about them, she should just trust Mo Zhexi could handle it.

Xu Wenwen then went to the kitchen to help her mother cut some fruits.

In the study room, Father Xu sat at his chair and gestured Mo Zhexi to sit opposite him.

They stared at each other for a while before Father Xu broke the staring contest.

"To be honest, I had nothing against you. I just want to see what kind of person you are that led my daughter to like you."

"I know, Mr Xu."

"You stinky little brat. How dare you steal my daughter's heart away?!"

"Mr Xu, one day, your daughter will have to leave you. It's means someone will stand in your place to protect her and that person is me. I promise to keep her safe."

Father Xu knew it was the truth that his daughter was bound to leave him one day.

"You're Mo Zhexuan's brother?"

"Yes."

"Then, I hope you will protect my daughter just like how your brother protect Jingyi."

"Of course, Mr Xu. It's a must."

"If anything happen to my daughter because of you, I will be the first one to break you two apart. I don't want my daughter to be with someone who brings danger to her and can't even protect her. Understand?"

"That won't happen, Mr Xu. I will prevent any troubles and dangers that occurs to her."

"Good. Hmph. I still don't like you. Come, let's go downstairs."

Father Xu was like a tsundere. He obviously didn't like how he steal his daughter's heart but he genuinely like the guy himself.

They then went downstairs to see Mother Xu and Xu Wenwen was watching television in the living room.

Seeing them coming down from upstairs, Mother Xu invited Mo Zhexi to eat fruits. Mother Xu like Mo Zhexi and inside her heart, Mo Zhexi had become her son-in-law.

Mo Zhexi sat beside Xu Wenwen and wrapped his arm around her waist. Xu Wenwen startled a little when Mo Zhexi did that.

They chat and Xu Wenwen occasionally will feed Mo Zhexi some fruits. They looked like a lovely couple.

After chatting and eating fruits, Mo Zhexi had to go. He thanked them for inviting him to have a wonderful dinner.

Xu Wenwen then walked with him to the outside.
