ALANA'S P.O.V

"Hello" he said nervously as he put the call on speaker phone.

"Good evening I'm Dior Snow from Black Heart and I'm glad to inform you that you've been accepted and hired as the main financial accountant of Black Heart Hotel.

" Breathe breathe, in and out " I was saying as she spoke

You're required to come in on Monday , latest by eight o'clock in the am to discuss your contract ; we'll be expecting you " Dior said cheerily , seemed like she was more excited than he was , but that couldn't be .

I felt like there was a circus going on in me, I was so happy for him at least if I didn't get the job he could buy us food .

"Wow thanks I'll be expecting you too, oh my gosh sorry I meant I'll be there" He fumbled causing Dior to laugh .

She really loved to laugh .

"Goodbye then" they said together and hung up .and

"Yayyyyyyyyy!!!!!!! You got the job Jaden .

I'm so happy for you " I exclaimed jumping on him causing his last slice of pizza he had already picked up again to fall along with him. To be fair I also fell.

"Oops" I tried to get out of his reach before he reacted . "Now you'll have to pay for throwing my lovely *pizzby* on the damn floor"

"Pizzby"??

" Yeah pizzby , pizza plus baby makes pizzby " He said like it was the most obvious thing .

"Dude , you're seriously dumb dumb, that makes no sense bruh" I said adding petrol to the already burning fire .

"Oh now you're in trouble" He said charging towards me.

I dashed towards the kitchen so fast that for a moment there I thought I was faster than Sonic , I went around the counter and grabbed a salt container for protection .

It wasn't really protection material but in my defence it was the only possible weapon apart from a spoon so I had to grab it to protect myself from the ruthless pizza monster .

He chased me around the counter till I gave up and he had me cornered .

" I promise to buy a pizza and give you two whole slices , wow twoooo can you believe that " I said trying to negotiate a deal with the pizza monster .

Why wouldn't he take it , it was a veryyy fair deal.

"Nopppe" He said popping the p

"Okay three?" I tried again , "And half"??.

"I refuse" He said while trying to laugh menacingly like the devil , He rather sounded like Santa Claus to me.

"Do you want to know what I would rather do to you " He smirked waiting for my reply .

Oh this won't be good I thought .

"Erh....no thank you I'll pass"I hoped to get out of the situation.

"I will tickle you!!!!!" He laughed tickling me all over till I fell flat on my ass , I was literally laughing my ass out.

"Please let me go" I said amidst laughter . "Sowwy" my apology came out muffled by laughter and happy tears .

"Well I'll stop if you stop screaming like I'm trying to kill you , the neighbours might call the police " He laughed

"Okay okay I've stopped , now enough".

" Oh and pizza is on you anytime I need it " He added .

"Aw , that's so not fair Jaden" .

After we had calmed down we sat with our backs to the cabinet , my salt container weapon long abandoned .

I slowly placed my head on his shoulder and he placed his head a top mine.

"I'm seriously scared Jaden , what if I don't get a call from Black Heart .

I'll have to start from square one , the whole hurdle of searching for work from place to place, from dusk till dawn "

"I thought all of that was behind me now , I was so sure I will get this job and I'll be letting my mom down .

She had such high hopes , I'm even sure she has a barbeque planned for when we get the job" I was almost in tears , I had worked so hard for this .

" I knew staring at that door was a bad idea and now look , it's going to cost me my job " I said tears trickling down my face .

"Wow easy there Alana , where's all this crap coming from .

You need to block it's source immediately because I won't have it , and all what you said is false , a fallacy , lies . " He paused to look at me.

"For starters Alana Walker doesn't get scared . I mean she watched the whole of the conjuring 2 without jumping on me , except the part where the Nun was telling Lorraine her name and haunting her that is.

Secondly you're going to get that job whether you like it or yes ;meaning you ain't got a choice , also have you met your mom ? that woman loves you from here to the moon and back .

She'll love you even if you were a drug dealer selling drugs to two year olds, not that I'm saying you should become a drug addict " He laughed making me laugh too.

"Finally , what door are you talking about and who said a door is going to prevent you from getting that job , dude you're dumb dumb that makes no sense bruh" He said using my own words on me and making me smile .

"Now that's the award winning smile I always want to see " He hugged me .

"I promise we're going to be office buddies and go to lunch together and maybe I could lower my standards and gossip with you about who has the worst shoes and who is hottest person in the office even though it's so below my manly standards and the hottest person is obviously me " He said proudly

"You're going to get that call Alana , I promise" He reassured me .

"And if some spirit causes you not to get the job which I doubt is humanly possible , we can both become criminals and rob Mr Ice of his wealth or on the safer side we can just share my salary " He said laughing.

I seriously loved my friend .

"You're seriously my best friend ever Jaden , I love you " I said hugging him tighter .

"You're seriously my best friend ever too Alana , love you too".......
