"But everyone loses their memory in the underworld, don't they?" Asked Marlena.
Regina raised a brow. "Do you think losing one's memory would wipe out the pain? There is always a part of you unwilling to forget it. Your mind can forget it but your heart can never be deceived."
At that last part, Marlena's eyes widened. It almost sounded like Regina was talking about her instead of her birth mother.
The carriage slowed down to a halt and Marlena shuffled through her satchel for the map.
She found it and got out of the carriage to compare where they were to the route drawn out on the map.
"The lake." She pointed at a spot on the map and looked around before her eyes finally snagged a mass of water in the distance. "There it is. The map says there is a bridge."
"What are we waiting for?" Regina led the way.
