6th Wing

“You’ve always been suspicious of me Dagon, and you are right, it was me who made a packed with Lucifer. Here is something that no one had ever discovered, I’m the son of Lucifer.” Orias whisper before Dagon trusted his sword through his core.

My eyes widen at the information. How dare he blame the father of treason. He was the one who made father hated by Datanian. Orias limp form hung to my father as he moved forward impaling his body further to my father’s sword. He leaned as if he wanted to tell something and I moved closer not wanting to miss it.

“You know how I managed to open the portal? It was because….” His voice was engulfed by the noise of the war cries and the deafening scream of Datanian.

I need to know what he had whispered to father that day. Once again I was stopped by Cassiun. She shook her head and mouthed a silent don’t.

“How could you Dagon? He’s my mate!!” Datanian charged towards his long friend.

Before he could reach bright light covered them. The voice of heaven’s lord drawn the fighting to a halt. I closed my eyes as I knew what happened next. It was painful full but we had to pay the price for something we didn’t do.

“I banished you 99 legions of Lycaon and Atos to the human realm to be damn.” The surrounding started to stir once more and we were in my room once more.

“No something not right, Cassiun let me go again; something doesn’t add up,” I felt hands wrapped around my waist.

Araxiel’s scent filled my nose calming my distressed state.

I turned to kiss him as I sense that he was also shaken by my distress and anxiousness. His presence always has this calmness and sense of home. I wrapped my arm around his waist as he snuggled closer. I nodded at Cassiun as she smiled back.

“Now you know the truth, but you need to talk to Datanian only he holds the last piece of your past” With that Cassiun's body started to degenerate to glittered dust.

“Summon my name when the time comes, I will aid you,” the wind whispered to me as they carried the glittered dust.

“What does father have to do with all of this?” Araxiel pulled me to the sofa and I told him about what I had just witnessed.

“Well, to be honest, I don’t have anything to say; let’s just get our needed rest, and tomorrow you can ask for the Council's presence,” Araxiel soft yet strong hand stroked my face making me sigh and my body sagged.

“Let’s clean up, I’ll reapply the ointment for you afterward,” I tugged my mate to the unsuited bathroom as he just chuckled tiredly.

As I pass by the wall mirror, I would have had to admit that I looked trash and drop-dead tired. For now, a bath and sleeping sounded heavenly to me.

“Kiel, could you shut the damn thing off,”

“Hmnn…you shut it off,”

“For the love of God, it’s your freaking alarm,” a loud thud and I’m on the floor.

“Serve you right jackass,” I rubbed my throbbing head as Araxiel hogged the blanket to himself. I picked up my phone and finally had the initiative to shut the stupid thing off.

“Asshole,” I mutter along with a yawn.

Hoisting my still half-asleep body from the chilly floor was quite an ordeal. Being a person who loath the morning is a challenge for me every morning. I walked to the sliding door of my private garden as the first ray of light touched the sky.

I started my morning stretches and breathed in the morning air. Well, I guess it’s time for that lovely mate of mine to wake his ass up. Slowly I crept to our bed and pulled the blanket off.

“Hey!! Give back the blanket,” he sassed back while his hands busy searching for the missing blanket. I chuckled at his cute form and tossed the blanket aside.

“Nope, not gonna happen, wake up it’s time for training” as if on cue, Araxiel groan at the mention of training.

“You’re a meanie, can’t I skip today?” Araxiel said in a pouty voice.

“Nope,” I peeled him off the bed and shoved him into the bathroom.

“I’ll give you 10 minutes to get ready, and if you’re late 20 laps for you” I ducked when a tube of toothpaste came flying from the toilet.

“I hate you,” he slurred out as his mouth filled with foam.

“I love you too,” I chuckled and head to the training ground.

The morning routine for us was training and sparing both in hand to hand combat and weaponry. As for weapons, we trained using our angelic regalia in which we were bestowed during our coming of age ceremony.

I wielded a scythe with a blade at the bottom half of it and Araxiel possessed a bow where he conjured the arrows from both light and shadow. Some of the others like my father wielded a sword and a dagger, while our delta Eligor used the lance.

I have to say being an alpha made me feel that I need to protect each and every member of the pack. They were as if my own children. Since I was young, I was thought that every member even the weakest omega needs to train both in combats and weaponry.

Being strip of our holiness doesn’t mean that we could slack off and laze around. Father always said that enemies always lurking in our shadow waiting for a slip and a direct kill. In my heart, I know that he’s right. I know that something big is bound to happen.

Eligor was training the young hunters mainly the ones that had just presented their binary gender which was alpha, beta, omega, and so on. To my amusement, one young beta was creeping slowly among the pack member, trying very hard to be discreet but failed miserably.

I tried to hold my laugh at his antics but a small smile crept onto my face.

“Araxiel, if you think that tiptoeing among the pup would cover your late ass, you better speed up,” He glared at me and pouted.

“That won’t do anything, 10 laps,”

“Not fair, argh…why can I do 5 today?” he said with a pout.

“20”

“10” he tried again.

“I gave you that chance, in the beginning, 15 that’s the end or I am happy to add more” he quickly shook his head and quickly begun stretching as he mumbled his protest. He glared at me and I raised my eyebrow to see if he would protest again. I chuckled at his defeated sigh.

As the sun raised higher, my sweaty form was drenched and ached from the workout. Araxiel was panting heavily as he held his fighting stance. I nodded to him hinting the practice was over and head back to my room. I hurried into the shower as I can’t wait to ask my father the question that had bugged me since last night.

I rummaged the closet for something decent when my ears twitched at the low barely-there squeak. I cast my glance towards the courtyard, nothing. I continued my search for a pair of jeans and a shirt. A sudden rush of wind surrounds me.
