Clash of the titans

This clan had fragile women who were well protected like hatchlings especially members of the clan leader's family so she naively thought the woman must have been of lower rank in the Huishe clan for her to be sucked into this world when the two worlds merged.

But when she felt the vicious amount of power when the monster was unleashed she was shaken. This man hoe had bedded a powerful Huishe clan member-only to produce that monstrosity and now that demon was looking for her offspring. She somewhat found this laughable. Enemies are surely bound to meet on a narrow road.

The only reason that half breed hadn't found her son across the sea was exactly because he was a half breed and still a baby according to the Haishe clan otherwise he would have turned the seas over until he found Ji Yao. His father's weak genes were his weakness.

She picked up the ruined portrait, scrunched it up into a ball before it burnt to ashes in her palm. "Good," she said in a harsh tone as she stood up with a dark expression.

The man shuddered in fear as he kowtowed again not daring to look at her in the eyes. "Yo-your highness....," he spoke in a low tone with his forehead on the floor.

A long flaming sword that swiftly transitioned into a metal whip appeared in her hand as her white gown suddenly burnt off revealing a blood-red robe embellished with black chimerical creatures. Her menacing gaze fell on his trembling body as she fiercely swung that whip.

"You had one job..... but you failed to do it," she said as the cracking sound of the whip reverberated in the entire underground fortress making the other servants kowtow in fear.

Their princess' temper was fairly good that's unless it involved Pirate king Ji and her son. This wasn't the first time this guard had been whipped for this failed task which meant her anger hadn't simmered down yet.

Because her aether was damaged from the attacks inflicted on her by the formidable one, she only managed to strike him thrice before blood seeped out from the corner of her lips. Having reached her limit her knees softened as she collapsed to the floor.

Mortified the servants rushed over and treated her illness like they did a dozen times before. Whatever the formidable one did to her had irreparable consequences.

While his parents were having the worst of days, Ji Yao was having an even terrible day. He was forced to manoeuvre around the boisterous city of Xiehe and had a clingy green-haired pup to accompany him.

A hint of annoyance was stuck on his throat as he ambled into a less busy restaurant at the end of the street. This high-end restaurant with intricate exterior and interior designs only catered to the elites of the concord which explained why it was almost empty.

As soon as they entered the hostess asked for their identifiers and when she saw the insignia of death on that ring, she quickly led him to a private room upstairs. Xiaoyu suppressed a smile creeping up the corner of her lips when she saw the private room.

This was the perfect place to converse and get to know each other devoid of the outside world's influence. This would be the longest meal she would have had alone with Ji Yao but her unicorn dream was brought down immediately.

"We will be sitting there," he said pointing at the table right at the corner. Hearing his hypnotic voice, the hostess smiled gleefully as her ears heated up.

"With that voice, this mysterious man must have a handsome face underneath that veil," she thought as she politely stretched out her hand in the direction of the table.

Ji Yao immediately walked over to the table but when the hostess tried to follow she was blocked by the tall beauty adorned in green and white. In her anger, she partially showed her true Nocru form with the green gem on her forehead glowing under the light. Her sword was partially unsheathed by itself with a shing sound before she issued a warning, "Know your place."

The hostess shivered in fright as she nodded her lowered head. No one in their right mind would dare offend any of Pirate King Ji's people and she was no exception.

Satisfied, Xiaoyu turned on her heels and walked over to the table sitting opposite Ji Yao.

As soon as the hostess was done taking their order and left, Ji Yao spoke in a soft voice with threatening undertones, "Know your place."

He only said three words but that was enough to shatter Xiaoyu. Like fragile porcelain, her heart broke to pieces with her eyes stinging from the tears she was suppressing.

It seemed Ji Yao realised that he had been a little harsh so he placed his hand over her sleeve to comfort her. This was the best he could do since he didn't necessarily like touching people.

Ji Yao didn't have to say anything because that split second touch soothed Xiaoyu. She knew he was just doing it to prevent her from causing a scene in this place but she couldn't help but feel a warm feeling spread all over her chest.

She wiped the tear at the corner of her eye and smiled subtly as she raised her head to look at him. But to her surprise, he was staring down at the ground floor where a group of rowdy young men and women entered the restaurant.

His fist clenched when he zoomed in on that pervert surnamed Zhang. If this was anywhere else other than Xiehe he would have leapt off the second floor by now and tore him to pieces. Only the heavens know how much energy it took for him to suppress the desire to slaughter this pig.

Xiaoyu was about to say something when three more people entered the restaurant with an air of superiority that was hard to miss. In the group was a little shorty no older than ten years old dressed in orange with a sabre twice her size. Next to her was a handsome young man dressed in all black with eyeliner on the lower lash line of his almond-shaped eyes.

The last of the group was also the tallest and most dazzling being Xiaoyu had ever seen that is if she wasn't counting Ji Yao. His long black hair that transitioned to a silvery grey at the ends was especially eye-catching making the girls dressed in peach-coloured dresses blush with a timid look.

His aura was naturally intimidating despite having not said anything. It was this same tyrannical vibe that had the host yielding to them despite having no identifier to show their status.

Rui Fei turned his gaze toward Zhang Ci whose piercing gaze was also on him. The two locked gazes for a second before Zhang Ci yielded. This clash of the titans kind of event was bound to be interesting.
