Chapter 53- Elementals

Kazuki was about to fight the giant Ent when Rhyle stepped forward and knelt. "The gathering of leaders will be held here tonight" he said.

Kazuki looked at Rhyle dumbfounded but all the paladins followed Rhyle's lead and also knelt. "We pay our respect to the Forest King" they all said in unison. The Ent smiled at them and nodded then turned to Kazuki.

"Why isn't this man kneeling?!" he asked feeling irritated because no one dared not to bow before except for the ones seeking death.

"This is our king, the white elemental" Rhyle said politely. The Ent rubbed his chin and looked at Kazuki slowly. He also examined his element but to his surprise, Kazuki could use all elements. Kazuki also noticed the Ent's eyes glowing so he asked what it is.

"It's the Astral eyes we've been looking for" one of the paladins answered.

"So we're gonna take it from him?" Kazuki asked which took Rhyle's attention. The Ent also looked at Kazuki with a surprised look and answered, "Your going to take it from the Dark elemental. Ever since the past white elemental perished, his rival the dark elemental took his astral eyes and sealed it away" the Ent answered.

Kazuki was curious and asked the reason why it was sealed. The Ent said that the white elemental is more powerful than the black so he was was afraid of the White's return. That's why there will be a gathering of leaders that evening.

(Note: Gathering of leaders is an event where all elementals participate and will have a meeting. There are 10 Elementals as of now including hybrids like ice and lightning. They are Fire, Water, Nature, Earth, Light, Dark, Wind, Ice, Lightning and Null.)

The giant Ent introduced himself as Dread. He was given that name because he spread Dread throughout the land. Kazuki was about to leave in order to prepare for the gathering when someone knocked at the door. Kazuki froze and Dread muttered "she's here". The aura behind the door was bright blue but was powerful, even more powerful than Dread's. The doors opened and an elf with blue skin commonly known as an ice elf entered. She was wearing a silver crown with an aquamarine attached at it's center. Her eyes were emitting chilly wind that dyed it light blue and everywhere she steps, the ground turns to ice or snow.

"If it isn't Agatha" Dread said with a little taunting tone. He imbued magic in his words so that a taunting spell will activate when it reaches the target's ears. The woman stared at Dread with a cold gaze and the wind in her eyes rushed towards his feet causing them to freeze. She then turned to Kazuki and stared at his eyes. Kazuki who was trying to help Dread had his hands frozen.

"This is the new white elemental? He's just a boy" she said coldly but Kazuki payed no mind and continued to free his frozen hands.

"It seems like this boy doesn't have respect for an elemental and should be taught a lesson" she said as she made an ice spear.
