The Ward Stone

The ward anchor of the Gendry Hospital's basement was an unnaturally massive obsidian pyramid.  Line after line of glowing blue runes covered the slow rotating three-sided pyramid.  Dazzling light flowed from the stone as its aura thrummed humming like an idle engine.  It hovered in the air slowly spiraling in place.  Each turn radiated the blue. 

I felt this before.  This was the greatest source of the blue within the Lagoon.  It was the blue in the lagoon. 

Destroying it wouldn't be easy.  A barrier covered the stone stronger than any I'd ever felt. 

                Three massive gems slowly rotated around the pyramid.  Each held the soul of a glorious dragon ancestor.  "Before their death's my ancestors laid a single egg.  Once one of us die we give our blue core to the Great Blue.  Even in death we continue to serve our lord." 

"Sometimes, they speak to me when I sleep.  Those dreams are always nightmares."
