Pirates Battle

Like a bolt of lightning, Xavier Karat broke through the planet's atmosphere, streaking toward the chaotic battle unfolding between his warships and the defensive space station. His heart sank as he surveyed the scene, silently mourning the loss of his fleet. Of the original six warships, only three remained operational. One had crashed into the planet, and two more had been reduced to wreckage under the relentless assault of the heavily armed defense system.

Coming from the planet, Xavier had to navigate past the space station. Its multiple defensive turrets swiveled to target him, unleashing a barrage of cannon blasts. Most of the shots dissipated harmlessly against his cosmic defense, creating dazzling bursts of light upon impact. The few that posed a real threat were deftly evaded with lightning-fast maneuvers.
