Right place at the right time [M]

Bohoja was left in the stable, after Soojin left in a haste.

He went back to stand by the window, pants rolled down his thighs, getting himself off to the visual of his twin sucking the soul out of his Concubine.

Ah, he'd start an army of Concubines once he took over the throne.

To have multiple women fawning over him, was a dream.

He closes his eyes, imagining being the man fought over by bare concubines all scattered over his bed, awaiting his seed.

He groans, fastening his pace over his engorged oversensitive member, squirting out viscous white streaks of produce all over the hay covered floor, eyes glossy and ends of his cotton linen tugged up by his teeth, exposing his abdomen.

He runs a finger over the slit, flicking off the dribbles of produce oozing out, rubbing a hand over his tense abs.

Just then, the door behind him opens, causing him to pull up his pants, immediately.

"Sire! What are you doing here? Leave, immediately." The Chief Guard rushes in.

He's taken by surprise, watching Bohoja's bloodshot red eyes and a panting erratically heaving chest.

"D-Did I perhaps, disturb something?" He asks, scratching the back of his neck.

Bohoja laughs, wickedly.

He tightens the strings of his pantaloons, white streaks standing out over the brown hay overlying the floor.

"Nothing at all, my man. Just releasing all the stress that vixen has pumped into my body. God, I swear she knows what she's doing to a man. She's playing hard to get." Bohoja huffs, lowering the hem of his shirt.

The Chief Guard nods in response.

"You are quite right. She does have the right size of perky bre—"

He's cut of by Bohoja's hand clutching his collar.

"Only I can talk that way about her body. Mind your words. You're a security guard, don't try and act up. You and I are statures apart." He seethes through his teeth, eyes filled with fire.

He lets the Chief go with a loud thud, causing him to land on his butt.

I-I thought we were friends.." The Guard manages to vocalise.

Bohoja laughs through his teeth, a sly smirk taking over his features.

"Friends? You and I can never be more than a Master and Slave."

Bohoja walks out of the shed, rain pouring all over him as he sighs angrily.

"Great timing.." He mutters, walking out towards the exit.

He strolls along the back of the Palace.

He observes the shrubs growing along the boundary.

Scoffs in response, crushing the flowers growing around the weed.

"No flower deserves to bloom in his reign." He mutters to himself, crushing the white petals under the sole of his Jute shoes.

Jute shoes.

Worn by commoners.

He hated feeling inferior to his younger brother.

Knowing just how much of a pushover he was.

He was older, he deserved to be seated on that throne.

He deserved to be ruling The People of Baekmin.

The pent up frustrations within him had been creeping all over his head, the past 7 years.

He had tried to assassinate Yun Ki far too many times and that rascal had escaped every other time.

It was as though there was someone leaking out every news or every plan of his right into Yun Ki's ears.

This is precisely why he was treading on thin ice, involving least as many people as he could.

Involving Soojin was a risk in it's own but he was far too aware of the hatred she bore for him in her heart.

He was just as the right place at the right time, that one day.

—A day before Yun Ki's wedding ceremony—

He remembers rumours spreading past his entire workplace, all bustling with the news of The King asking for a commoner's hand in marriage.

This had caught Bohoja's attention, nonetheless.

"Who is he marrying, you mentioned?" He asked one of his colleagues.

Bohoja wasn't a man who'd be caught in gossip and yet he had no other choice but to hear about his brother from rumours or words that leaked past the lips of his workers down to the general public.

"Ah, he's marrying a commoner, Kim Soo Jin from Daegu." The man responds, reading the newspaper.

"A commoner, you say?" Bohoja asks, scratching his ear.

The man nods.

"Not just a commoner, the poorest one from the poorest village. Word is, there is no one man enough in her household. The King knew of her plight beforehand, it seems.." The man adds.

Bohoja lets out a hum in response, mind riddled in confusion.

Why was his brother marrying a poverty stricken low class commoner when he could be marrying into just about any royal family?

That evening, Bohoja had set out to Daegu.

He needed to know what was so special about this girl.

Upon reaching, it wasn't a difficult task to be able to get her address.

The entire village knew that a girl from their clan had been proposed by the man who owns Baekmin.

Bohoja reached her home, a small hut.

It was made of cement but was single storied and rather shabby.

He remembers creeping into her backyard, jumping the fence and peeking into the common room.

The elder lady, presumably the mother was feeding porridge to an ailing man whose legs and arms had shrunk in size and were thin as a stick.

She raised a spoon into his mouth, only to have it coughed out by reflex.

The lady gasps in anger.

"Soojin-ah, get a wet towel." She screams into oblivion.

Bohoja looks into the poorly furnished home.

They had a torn jute mat.

The floor looked like it hadn't been swept in months.

A girl walks in, dressed in a long brown skirt and a black blouse.

Her milky white skin is what catches his eye.

Her hair is tied into a messy bun, atop her head.

She kneels beside the ailing man, wiping the corners of his mouth of the rice he'd hurled out.

She pats his back, allowing the man to spew out more half chewed green rice over the jute mat.

The girl looked upset, visibly.

"Are you willing to live this way, for the rest of your life, Soojin?" Her mother had asked her.

The girl looked perplexed as she duck and cleaned the messy residue covering the floor with the towel.

She lets out a loud sigh.

"What do you want from me, Mother?! I've only ever listened to you but this, it's unacceptable!" She screams.

The Mother stands up.

"How is it unacceptable? It's not like he's robbing you of your modesty. He's giving you the title of his Queen. Please use your brain." She scolds.

Soojin glooms.

She carries the frail body of her brother, like it weighed nothing more than a bag of rice and places his body over the mattress.

"Mother, he's cruel. After father passed away, I'd sworn I'd never do anything for the Royal Family. Not after how they'd not even respectfully cremated his body and had let it to rot and be fed on by The Wild. They bore no respect for the ones who'd been martyred. I'm sorry you don't care about your husband. But to me, he was my father. The only man who understood me." She cries.

Her mother throws the plate of rice on the floor with a loud clutter.

"You're a fool, just like your father. All along, he talked of goodness when all he should've done was bring money into this house. He failed to live upto any of the promises he'd delivered to my mother when he brought me into this house. What did he give me in return? A broken home, a handicapped son and a daughter whose pride is too large for her own good!" She wails, beating her chest.

"It's not my fault that we are poor, Mother! How can you sell me off to the man who has been known for nothing but the worst. He'll tear me in half. Would you want for your daughter to be taken advantage of, impregnated time and again for god knows what sick intentions he has breeding a child with a commoner?!"

The mother delivers a loud slap on Soojin's cheek, the sound echoing past the closed walls.

"Eomma.." She winces.

"Do you want your mother to die? You'll get married and leave this house but your brother and I will be alone. I can only earn for so long, until my own body gives up. Your brother won't last if I die now." She screams, walking away.

The girl runs into her room, wailing and sobbing.

"I hate him. He's going to kill me…But if that makes you happy, I'll give myself up, Eomma. I'lll give myself up.." She cries.

——End of Recap——

Bohoja smiles to himself.

He had chosen a lamb for himself.

The perfect target.

All because, he was at the right place at the right time.

He skips past puddles, walking towards the exit via The Garden of Jasmine.

It's raining heavily and he sits inside the greenhouse, for some while.

He wrings the water off of his face as he hears voices coming from the Garden.

He gets up to get a look at the scene unfolding.

"I-I want you to leave me." Soojin winces in Yun Ki's grasp.

Oh shit, had Yun Ki caught Soojin coming from the stable? He wonders to himself.

"I'm not letting you go." Yun Ki screams, holding her tight against him.

"Not now, not ever."

Soojin's staring at the affectionate words leaving his lips.

"Do you want to know why?" He's asking her.

Soojin shakes like a leaf in his grasp

"It's because I like you."

"I like you the way a man likes a woman."

The words echo through the garden and Bohoja's lip turn into an evil smile.

His brother is in love.

What better than smothering the girl he loves?

"Things just got interesting…" He hums, watching his brother confessing to a girl that Bohoja had wrapped around his fingers.

Yet again, he was at the right place at the right time.
