shitty day

'Jesus fucking Christ! This is one giant ass ship. I wonder which shipyard actually took on a commission for a ship this size. I mean, it's practically an island size wise!' Daz thought to himself while wandering through a graveyard/forest, which was pretty much the only things on the Thriller Bark, occasionally dodging some feeble attempt by some rotting zombie to grab him, too lazy and unmotivated to fight flees such as them.

When he had left the thousand sunny and went on to find himself something somewhat strong to fight against, he had had high hopes.

After all, which respectable warlord would employ subpar subordinates, right? Right. Turns out, Moria did. So far all he had come across where nothing but maggot filled zombies, held together by nothing but yarn, as if some amateur had cut them into pieces first and then decided to stitch them back together for some reason.

Now, Daz may not understand much about stitching up wounds but he knew quite a bit about cutting things into pieces and to his professional eyes it had been an amateur of amateurs to do so.

Which wasn't really much of a surprise to Daz when he thought about a little bit closer. After all, subpar subordinates didn't speak highly of their leader, which was a rather huge disappointment to Daz.

Still, he hadn't completely given up hope yet. Maybe there was a worthy opponent somewhere on this god forsaken piece of land/ship that he could cut into pieces after getting his blood boiling, and if only a little. It would at least be a start.

Grumbling in dissatisfaction a little, Daz marched on, kicking a pebble carelessly into the air in a touch of childishness, which did in fact, completely on accident of course, take the head off a nearby zombie like a cannonball.

Soon he had reached the castle that was visible from every point on the Thriller Bark and marched straight inside.

Flexing his senses for but a second, Daz took stock of his surroundings in more detail and was even more disappointed.

While the portrays that came to life were somewhat interesting and pretty much shit on every single natural law, none of that changed the fact that he was awfully disappointed in a ship as hyped up as the Thriller Bark.

Further upwards he felt a presence that was a little stronger than the rest but was still pretty damn pathetic in his opinion, and belonged probably to Moria himself.

The world government really had no taste whatsoever. But whatever.

Crashing into one of the rooms of the corridor he was currently walking through, Daz was lucky enough to stumble upon a kitchen and swiftly marched over to get himself something to eat.

While he was no brilliant chef like Sanji, Daz still knew how to cook himself something, an ability he had learned was everything but common on the Grandline. How that was possible was anyone's guess. Incompetence was most assuredly not a rarity on the oceans from his experience.

One only has to look at the captain of the strawhats. Then again, the rest of them were pretty competent all things considered so it equalized the whole matter in his opinion.

While the veggies he had found in a nearby shelf roasted in a pool of olive oil in one of the pans, Daz considered if it was dangerous to eat meat on a ship that housed zombies of all things, but in the end simply shrugged and threw two slaps into another pan without another thought.

While Daz was absentmindedly flipping the veggies and steaks again and again from time to time, his mind began to wonder to his acute boredom.

He really needed to get into the new world as soon as possible. Boredom, for someone like Daz, was rather lethal at the best of days, let alone those when he woke up with a headache or something along the same lines.

Which meant he would have to bring the munchkin to the Archipelago rather swiftly. However, he never really had thought about what he would do once he had reached the Archipelago though.

After all, he couldn't find it inside his cold and dead heart to leave the munchkin alone to fend for herself on a cruel island such as the Archipelago simply because he wanted to cut some people up.

Thus, leaving him with the problem what to do with the munchkin.

Shoving his meal onto a plate and sitting himself down on a table Daz began to munch on his homecooked meal and was surprised for but a second how fresh all the ingredients actually tasted for such a ruddy castle but soon his mind returned back to the problem at hand.

In the end he decided to try and find her mother, if she even was still alive or had left the Archipelago years ago, whom she could hopefully reunite with her daughter.

Nodding once at his excellent plan once, Daz gulped down the rest of his meal and made to stand up. However once on his legs, his senses picked up on a presence that was quite a bit stronger than all the other scrubs on the Thriller Bark and had appeared from one moment to the next.

A grin began to grow on his face while the castle around him shook suddenly, as if hit by a giant himself. Though Daz didn't notice as he was long gone, having disappeared through a nearby window in a silent application of the Soru, already on his way to meet the mysterious person, with a grin spreading across his face. Maybe this shitty day wouldn't turn out to be so shitty still.
