"We can use my dining room for the discussion," Bastian suggested, glancing at Vesta, who seemed lost in thought, contemplating the offer.

"How about I take a look first?" Vesta proposed, prompting Bastian to nod in agreement.

As Desmond noticed the seemingly concluded conversation between Vesta and his father, he felt a sense of unease. He turned his gaze and saw Annie and Laura guiding Shelty to the backyard.

Diana, who had initially been listening to the discussion between her mother and Desmond's mother, grew bored. She noticed Desmond's diverted attention and followed his line of sight, finding nothing of interest. She briefly considered asking him but dismissed the thought.
