Land Management Upgrade

Latias then showed the places that they selected to go and went. It was actually the Orre region. The place where the Cipher organization ruled. There were also some independent islands that Latias pointed out.

Axel felt happy as Latias didn't tell about it in public as the reputation of humans would go down if it did.

"Serena, what are you expecting from me? You know that I am not strong enough to fight with such a powerful organization alone. Even you, a god-rank Pokemon could not do it, so how could I do it?", asked Axel.

"Axel, I am not asking for your help right now. I have lived for more than 200 years. A couple of decades is not going to affect me. Grow at your own pace. If you need any help, then I am there for you but I request you to save my tribe and my family."

Since he was human and just 16 years old, the perception of time for him was very different. He didn't even think that this mission could wait f\or some time.

"Serena, I would love to help you but I don't think you are asking me such a huge thing for free?"

It was time for payment. Of course, Axel considered Latias as his friend as it had helped him in many ways in the past but it still made various tests to test him.

So, of course, he was going to ask for payment or some form of consideration.

"Axel, I don't have exceptional things to give you. I lost the authority of this island and half of it is already destroyed. My family is unknown and I am the only one here.

So, if you help me in this, I would try to do anything to help you if it is within reason.", said Latias.

Axel felt a bit petty for Latias. Even though it was a god-rank Pokemon and more than 200 years old, it still acted like a little girl that had lost its family. This may be because legendary Pokemons had very long lives.

"Will you teach my Pokemons about psychic powers?"

"Yes."

"Can I use any sort of resource on this island?"

"If it is only for you and your Pokemons, then yes."

"Will the Pokemons here fight for me when I need them?"

"Of course they would. You help me and we will help you."

"Ok, then those are the things that I need.", said Axel, and then a notification popped up which surprised him as he had not expected it to happen.

Axel eagerly looked into the tab he had not opened for a long time.

The host would gain the following benefits.

1. The progress of the land and the Pokemons on it would be shown in real-time.

2. All the Pokemons who are residents of the said land would have a loyalty feature.

3. All of the Host's talent would also apply to those resident Pokemon.

4. By fulfilling the quest in the land, the quality of the land would improve and the Pokemons in that land would also get an upgrade.

5. The host could teleport from one land to another. Cool down time- 4 months.

Only 2 benefits were added. First was the improvement of the quality of land by completing quests in that land and also the improvement of Pokemons there. That was a sizable reward.

The second reward was very substantial. Axel could teleport from one land that he had acquired to another land. Even though the cool-down period was 4 months, it could come in handy during emergencies.

Axel could see that there was other information in land management system. But first, he wanted to see the stats of his acquired land.

2. Deorclacu Holt (1/10th): 1500 sq. km.

 3. Lumlow Cay (1/20th): 7500 sq. km.

After having a land management system for some time, Axel was able to know some of the things about it. Like, even if Axel were to buy the land and acquire it on paper, it would not appear in the land management system. It would only appear when the leader of that land agrees to hand over the land or have Axel some degree of authority in that land.

Axel was able to know about this because he had bought a huge forest near Magior city which was close to Vermilian city. The name of the forest was 'Afcol Wild'.

This forest was filled with many wild Pokemons of a variety of species. The forest was not as big as Hakone city forest but the area was still bit around 3000 sq. km. Axel had talked to the government and the league to buy this island and he did.

He wanted to do this cause this would enable 'Land Management system' to activate and his team members could train their Pokemons there. However, it didn't and it frustrated him to no end as he had invested a lot of money on it.

But he had his hunches and today it was proven. Lumlow Cay was also not in the land management system even though he had acquired it long before but today it was as Latias agreed to it.

They talked alone for hours and it was already going to be early evening.

"I have prepared human foods for all of you. Some of us do like these human foods too. Come join us.", said one of the psychic-type Pokemons.

They were invited for dinner. There was a rule that one must eat before the sun sets and becomes dark. There were also some weird rules here like any new moves that are to be made are to be discussed with the leader first.

"If you don't like the human intervention, then I could talk to them.", said Axel as he was eating his food.

"No, as of right now, human intervention is actually very good for us. Just tell them to not cut any more trees as it is affecting the island now.

However, after I get my tribe back, I would want these humans to go away. Don't worry, I would not do that without giving them some gifts.", said Latias.

Finally, the trip was going to be over but a lot of things had changed.

Mamoswine had ranked up. Charizard had ranked up. Fergalitar had ranked up. Shlegon had evolved to Salamence. Togetic had finally learned the move.

Axel had also made an alliance with Blue's team and also with Salamence. Axel now practically owned the island as it had already shown in land management tab. However, right now, it didn't cover the whole island.

He had also made good friends with Latias.

It was now time to return and say goodbyes.

"Axel what do you plan to do right now?", asked Kizaru.

"I have a lot of things planned. Why do you ask?"

He really had a lot of things to do. First, he wanted to transfer Squirtle and Magnemite so that they could start their training. He also wanted to go to Aeus Island to take back Gyarados and Steelix. He also wanted to talk to Lucario about mega-evolution. He also planned to challenge another gym as he believed that his Pokemons were now ready for it.

Finally, there was the problem with his mercenary team. They were told to acquire a base of operation or have a good business in 2 months. They also needed to face a tide battle to prove themselves to be the mercenary team.

Axel had a lot of things to do and he didn't what he should do right now. He would also have to go to Violet City to pick up Beedrill and Alakazam.

"Well, I want you to meet my Admiral and also talk to Blue about this alliance.", said Kizaru.

"We can do that, but first, can you tell him to come to Violet City? I have some things to do there.", said Axel.

"Yes, it can be easily arranged. You don't need to worry about it. But first, I would have to contact him and it is only possible after we get out of there."

"Well, that is true.", said Axel.

The return journey was faster than before. Because Latias had recognized them and they didn't need to be wary of any tribes and take the long route.

"How much time would it take us to reach human settlement?", asked Axel.

"I believe that we can reach there in a week.", said Ron looking at the map.

"Hey, why don't we go to the Mr. Mime tribe and ask for the reward? It did say that it would teach our Pokemon about the barrier move.", said Jin.

"Yes, we could clearly do that. Mr. Mime tribe is on the way here. We could reach there in 2 days.", said Ron.

"Ok, that is good. Let's go there."

After 2 days,

"Ron, is this the place?", asked Kizaru.

"Yes, I am positive.", said Ron.

"Ok, let's go and show this red cloth to enter."

Mr. Mime had given them a piece of a red cloth to let them enter.

As they went towards their territory, they were blocked by a couple of Mr. Mime to asked why they were here.

Latias had already told everyone in this land that Axel was now their ally and no one would be hurting him and his friends. How did it tell all of them? Well, it was a psychic-type Pokemon with a psychic core, so of course, it could do it.

That was why the Pokemons were not so hostile.

Ron showed the red cloth to the guards and said that it was given by Mr. Mine.

The guards immediately understood and then told them to follow Mr. Mime.

Mr. Mime was a weird Pokemon. It's an evolved form of Mime Jr. It had a galarian form and that form could further evolve into Mr. Rime who would obviously be a lot stronger than Mr. Mime.

So, he always felt that Mr. Mime who is a psychic/fairy-type Pokemon could further evolve. However, since he had not seen these Pokemons before, he could not test this hypothesis.

They were led to a training area where a single Mr. Mime was meditating. It was also so weird to look at Mr. Mime. It was a weird Pokemon after all.

"So, you guys have returned.", said Mr. Mime and then threw a sheet of paper to them.

"Select one of the barrier moves and I will teach you one of them. But remember, I will only teach you one of them till one of your Pokemons learn it or till the end of 3 days. After that it would be your problem.", said Mr. Mime.

"Can each of us select different types of barriers for our Pokemons?", asked Harry.

"No, you can only select one of them for all of you."

It still was a good deal. Mr. Mime was called a barrier Pokemon as it mastered in making and creating barriers. It was also very strong.

Axel looked into the papers and there were numerous barriers listed. Axel counted and there were at least 100 of them. He was extremely surprised. None of the barriers were existing moves. All of them were new moves. Does this Pokemon know about so many barrier moves? It would simply be impossible.

Axel wanted to 'Identify' Mr. Mime but his instinct told him to not do it. Even though it was just a king-rank Pokemon, there was something in it that made him uncomfortable.

"Oh, and you only have 1 hour to decide. I don't like to waste my time.", said Mr. Mime.
