Tier 2

The shadow of Axel extended and a Pokemon came out of it. Its body was light brown, but the abdomen was gray. It had four protrusions on its underside instead of legs; the top pair was brown, while the lower was gray. There were round protrusions on the side of its head with narrow slits for eyes. Two lines encircle its abdomen and a white crescent-shaped halo floats above its head. On its back was a pair of tattered wings divided into three wingtips. 

It was Shedinja and it had finally returned.

"Do you remember this Pokemon, Bruno? You must cause it is your first official Pokemon which you discarded in the wild.", said Axel with a smile. 

He wanted Shedinja to get its revenge against Bruno. Shedinja was the first official Pokemon of Bruno but since it was so weak, Bruno never liked it and he discarded it. Axel took it as his Pokemon and it started to grow under Axel.

Bruno didn't even know what to say. Of course, he knew who it was. It was his first official Pokemon but this Pokemon was now a genuine tier 2 king rank Pokemon. Yes, Shedinja had also reached tier 2 just like Charizard.

Bruno's reputation among the crowd instantly went down. It was taboo to throw your Pokemons. A trainer must be someone who loves his/her Pokemon but Bruno had done the exact opposite. 

"You don't have to know me. I am now the Knight of Axel and I will fulfill that role till I die. Today I just want to prove to you that you made a big mistake.", said Marcus. 

It was a king-rank Pokemon so of course, it could talk.

Flashback, yesterday,

After talking with Lance and Lorelai, Axel was in a good mood cause his friend was coming towards him. It was Shedinja. Axel had been tracking its movement and it was only 5 minutes away from Axel. 

After 5 minutes, it arrived in Axel's room and Axel gave it a big hug. As per Shedinja's request, Axel had not seen any of its progress and he was going to see it now. However, he knew that Shedinja had reached tier 2 of king rank. 

The main reason for its growth was due to Gengar. Axel must admit that Gengar was an excellent teacher. 

When Shedinja ranked up to king rank, he got a notification from the system.

Congratulations! Shedinja has ranked up to king rank.

One of the main missions has been completed.

Calculating rewards for the main mission…..

Choose 1 of the rewards for the main mission completion.

Reward 1: Shedinja would only be ghost-type. It would not be ghost/bug type but only ghost type.

Reward 2: Shedinja's health would return to normal

The reward from the main mission was huge. Ho-Oh had placed 2 curses on Shedinja. One was related to its health. Its health would be super low. Second was that it would be bug/ghost type instead of ghost type. 

The rewards from the system would rectify those curses and Axel was extremely happy about it. However, he could only choose 1 of them and it would be a hard decision. Axel thought about it for some time and made his decision. 

"I would choose reward 1"

The reward has been selected. Shedinja would only be ghost type from now on.

Shedinja had the ability of 'Wonder Guard'. This ability would make it immune to those moves that are not super effective against it. Since it was a ghost/bug type Pokemon, it had 5 weaknesses.

1. Flying type

2. Rock type

3. Ghost type

4. Fire type

5. Dark type.

Now, since it was only a ghost type, it would only have 2 weaknesses. That was ghost type and dark type. This would make it very strong. As it had mastered its ability, it was immune to other types of attacks.

Axel started to talk to it. He started to share all the things with Shedinja. It had been a long time since they met each other. Shedinja also started to share its training with Gengar. 

Shedinja felt bad when Axel shared the tide news. It was the knight of the team. It had to be there but it was not. Almost all of its friends were seriously injured. 

Axel patted its back saying that the tide was not its mistake. After 8 months, Axel looked at its stats and he was delighted.

   This was the most powerful Pokemon in Axel's team. There was no doubt about it. Even Charizard may not be able to beat Shedinja now. He first looked at the new moves that it had learned from Gengar.

Shadow domain: The domain is 6 meters wide and shadow powers will increase. The speed of Shedinja will increase and the domain will be filled with shadow.

 Darkness domain: It would be completely dark and only Shedinja can see in this domain. It might cause minor hallucinations. 

 Invisibility: Shedinja would use the power of darkness to be invisible. It is not completely invisible and a powerful target could see it vaguely

 Dark breath: A beam of dark energy that would have a good chance of making the target blind.

 Darkness Zap: A short burst that causes pain and discomfort.,                      Shadow Absorption: Absorb the shadow of the target and get 20% stronger. 

 Shadow interaction: Can control the movement of the target with the shadow. The power is weak and has a high chance of breaking free from it. The target would move and mirror the user's movements.

It had learned 6 new moves. It had created 'Shadow domain' and 'Darkness domain' and the previous 'Shadow domain' was converted to 'Shadow darkness domain'. 

It had learned some interesting moves and all of these moves would help in the battle. 

He then started to look at the progress of existing moves.

Shadow ball: (Shedinja): (Level 40): Perfect shape and deadly. 

                     (Level 45): It also spins for additional power.

                     (Level 50): can use 3 shadow balls but the shape of the shadow ball is smaller.

Gravity (Shedinja) : (Level 40): Can use reverse gravity but can only use it oneself.

                 (Level 45): Can use reverse gravity on the target too but only 1 target.

Shadow control (Shedinja): (Level 40): The tentacles have mini blades that could shred the target.

                       (Level 45): After completely covering the target, it would explode.

                       (Level 50): Can use chains instead of tentacles. It has a higher binding power

Substitute (Shedinja): (Level 40): Can use 2 substitutes.

                   (Level 45): It could now use substitutes to attack. 

                   (Level 50): It can use 3 substitutes.

                   (Level 55): The stats of each substitute is 40% of the original.

                   (Level 60): The stats of each substitute is 50% of the original.

Hyper Beam (Shedinja): (Level 40): The move is faster than before and only needs a little time to charge

                     (Level 45): The power of the move has increased by 20%.

                     (Level 50): Shedinja now needs little time to rest after using it.

Night Slash (Shedinja): (Level 40): The move has become special in nature and now Shedinja can send dark-colored slashes to the target. However, it could also be used in a physical way.

                    (Level 45): 3 slashes instead of 1 slash

                    (Level 50): The power of the move has increased.

Switch (Shedinja): (Level 40): The speed of the move has increased.

                (Level 45): It has become a ghost-type move and its speed has increased.

Shadow-Darkness domain (Shedinja): (Level 40): The stamina consumption had decreased.

                                 (Level 45): It can spread to 15 meters and is more powerful than before.

                                 (Level 50): Can pause and hold the attacks longer. Shedinja is faster in this domain. The power of ghost type moves will increase in the domain. 

                                 (Level 55): The target would have minor hallucinations inside the domain.

Dark breath (Shedinja): (Level 40): Increase the effect of dark-type attacks like Hypnosis, Darkness zap and Dream eater.

Hypnosis (Shedinja): (Level 40): can affect Pokemon in day time

                  (Level 45): It has become more powerful and effective

Shadow Sneak (Shedinja): (Level 40): Shedinja will extend the shadow of around 5-meter radius

Endure (Shedinja): (Level 40): The move can be activated very fast.

                 (Level 45): Can be used 2 times if the health of the user is more than 50%

Dream eater (Shedinja): (Level 40): Can recover 20% of maximum health. However, can only use it 1 time.

                     (Level 45): The target doesn't have to be fully Rem sleep 

                     (Level 50): Had a slight effect of putting the target more at sleep

Shadow jump (Shedinja): (Level 40): It can teleport within 10 10-meter radius of another shadow.

                      (Level 45): It can teleport within 20 meter radius of another shadow.

                      (Level 50): It is difficult for the target to notice shadow jump

Ally switch (Shedinja): (Level 40): It could also switch with the target with 50% accuracy if the target is in the same rank. If higher, it could not do it.

                    (Level 45): It could also switch with the target with 70% accuracy if the target is in the same rank. If higher, it could not do it. 

                    (Level 50): It could also switch with the target with 80% accuracy if the target is in the same rank. It could use this move successfully with 30% accuracy if the target is one rank higher than Shedinja.

All these moves had crossed the threshold and there were some interesting changes in the move. 'Shadow ball' had become more diverse, 'Gravity' could now affect the targets too, and the quality of 'Shadow jump' and 'Ally switch' had increased. 'Dream eater' and 'Hypnosis' have become very powerful. 

'Shadow control' had changed. It could now explode and Shedinja could use it as a chain too. 'Hyper beam' had become faster and 'Substitute' had become powerful. 'Night slash' had become a special type of move, 'Shadow darkness domain' had also become powerful. 'Dark breath' looked very powerful and 'Endure' had given it another life. 

Shedinja had become the most powerful Pokemon on his team. He had never thought that it would be so powerful in the future. He just trusted it and the result was with him now. 

After looking at all the progress, Shedinja and Axel went to meet his Pokemons. Tomorrow would be the final match and Shedinja would participate in it. He wanted to see the look on Bruno's face after he took out Shedinja for the fight. 

Axel only had Nidoking and Shedinja with him for tomorrow and there was a high chance that he would lose tomorrow's battle but he would not go down easily. 

Nidoking was still not in perfect health but Shedinja was ready to go. It was a tier 2 king-rank Pokemon. Axel doubted that Bruno would have a tier 2 Pokemon and even if he did, it would be difficult to beat Shedinja.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Axel had taken out his last Pokemon and it is a Shedinja. Now, all of us know, how weak the Shedinja species is. But it is tier 2 king-rank Pokemon. 

This would be an interesting fight. Axel had proclaimed that this was the most powerful Pokemon in his team. Is he lying? Or is he telling the truth? We don't know but we can only imagine.", said the commentator.

Shedinja's reputation was always bad. It was bad due to its low health. However, they didn't know how powerful Marcus really was and they would be surprised to see it now.

Bruno was also not threatened after seeing Shedinja. Yes, by some miracle, it was a tier 2 king-rank Pokemon but it was still Shedinja. He did feel a bit bad by leaving it but he came here to win. He would not let his emotions rule his decision. 

He had 5 Pokemons left and Axel had only 1 and it was a Shedinja. So, he was not so worried about it. He was ready to use 'Flamethrower' and finish this battle as fast as he could. 

Shedinja was weak to fire type and even if it had mastered its ability, it would still be weak to fire type. It also had very low health. So, he was sure to win. 

How very wrong he was.
