A Dive into the Rabbit Hole

Ever since Lucien's birthday, Anastasia decided to lessen the time she spends with this friend of hers little by little.

It wasn't obvious at first. Even Cathleen and Dave only thought of her excuses to get home earlier than before as her being busy for once - with inserted sarcasm, of course. Even then, she thought that them teasing her about the matter had turned out to be good for her since they could easily change topics whenever it's brought up.

For a week, Anastasia did not hang out with her friends after school dismissal. That's mostly because Lucien is there. Their interactions inside the classroom will have to do for the meantime. She really should keep her distance from him.
