The True Vampire Bride Ch 4 Part 4

Botan Date: "Here is the stone that will tell you what your specialized ability is. When the color of the stone turns from the greyish black you see here to red, that means you will specialize in the elements, like myself."

Tsubasa Endo: "Okay, I am going to write all this down, that way I keep the colors straight. Will be easier that way."

Kaida Endo: "Do not worry about that brother, I will write it down for you as he explains. That way I can make a record for the library."

Botan Date: "That is fine my queen, I will continue to explain the colors. Remember, red equals elements. Okay then, if you specialize in weather, the stone will turn green. If you specialize in the bio, or living manipulation, the stone will turn yellow. If you specialize in time, it will turn an aqua shade of blue. It has been a long time since anyone other than us checked these stats that I cannot remember the colors for the others. With that being said, please step up to the stone and focus hard on it Tsubasa."

Tsubasa Endo: "I understand."

Botan Date: "By all means then, step up and see what color you produce."

Walking to the stone, he placed his right hand upon the stone and concentrated as hard as he could. For a brief moment an odd color that Botan was not familiar with shined. It was the most brilliant shade of purple. Almost lavender in color. Standing there, his body felt like it was flooding with a power he never knew. The next thing he knew, his head was arcing back as though he was in pain. His eyes, turning an odd shade of white as he got a blank stare to them. He could not explain, a flash of pictures went through his mind as he sees himself standing next to his sister untied with Botan and the other lords, a strange inset ring appeared in his mind as it looked to be a collection of different stones placed within one band in the shape of a wrapping vine with leaves. After a few minutes, he brought his head back forward as the stone then proceeded to turn from the shade of purple to red. Another surge of power coursed through him. The red itself then remained constant for an additional few minute, then it turned a greyish black once again. With a puzzled look on his face, Botan was stunned that the stone had given him two distinct colors. That had never happened before. He was in awe at the presence of what the blood of their family could do. It made him almost jealous knowing what they possessed as members of the royal bloodline.

Kaida Endo: "Okay I have wrote down what all the colors do. Brother, you sat there in a daze when it turned that purplish color, what the hell was going on then?"

Tsubasa Endo: "I do not know how to explain it exactly, it is like that stone boosted the power within me causing me to see things that have not occurred yet. It showed me a vision of you, me and the other lords standing in front of a huge assembly, the bands on all our fingers, a beautiful vine design with several types of gemstones inset in it."

Botan Date: "It appears then, Tsubasa, you have the power of clairvoyance sleeping within you. That is what the purple color indicates. But the red showing up just as long shows that you also possess the elemental power as I do. Never has there been a male, that had more than one set of skills given to them. Must be because you are the prince."

Kaida Endo: (Standing there in almost a stunned silence, she looked on as she verified what she just heard…) "So, you are saying that my brother's hidden talents are in two forms, the elemental and clairvoyance. He will be able to see short bits into the future and tell us what is going to happen. As well as mastering the things you are gifted in."

Botan Date: "Apparently so. He will soon be more formidable than even me or the other lords alone. But you will always have the most power. But since he is the only one who has the clairvoyance, you will be the only one who can help him with it since you can absorb powers. It will be up to you to help him cultivate it better. I can help with the other with no issues at all."

Kaida Endo: "So that part of it is up to me. I understand. I am still a little puzzled as to what he told us though, about the ring and stuff. I am not sure how far in the future that is, but I am assuming it is near future, not distant."

Botan Date: "There is no way to know unless you practice absorbing his ability. As queen, you will be able to sort it out far faster than even I can teach. It is the natural ability of the queen."

Kaida Endo: "Fine then. More added to the weight I already bare. This is just one more thing I must conquer to move forward. As for the vision, I will have to practice on whoever I can get to get good enough. I will need to perfect the absorption technique first to sort out the vision fully. I am heading back to the library now."

With a hard resolve, she turned on her heel and headed back to the library where her studies were. Gathering up some of the other materials, Kaida grabbed some books she hoped would be useful in power absorption. She then headed back to her room and set some of the books on a desk in the corner of her room. She began flipping through the first set of books in hopes of finding anything that could help her a little faster. Still standing in the stone room, Botan looked at Tsubasa with a look of awe. Never in all his long life did he have the opportunity to see what the true powers of what could loosely be called the "Royal bloodline". He took a few deep breaths before turning his full attention back to Tsubasa.

Botan Date: "Well Tsubasa, apparently you are special among the male vampires. Never in all my long years has there been a male vampire with more than one set of abilities. But it appears that you have two."

Tsubasa Endo: "Two abilities huh? I take it I am a rare commodity then. That is why you said that no one would be able to match even me soon."

Botan Date: "Yes. As for your vision, you do not have a time frame, do you? It could be soon, or it could be far off. Either way, it appears that we all are going to be deeply involved with Kaida."

Tsubasa Endo: "Apparently so. This is something no one can change. It was in a lot of fragments, but that ring was noticeably clear. So clear, that if I could draw, I would show you all a rendering of the design I saw. But if Kaida can absorb that power from me, she can draw it out herself."

Botan Date: "So I see, she took that part of the talent as well. The queen has always been the most gifted of all the vampires, even the other pure blood females. No one can compare to the amount of talents that lie within her."

Tsubasa Endo: "Well then, it looks like I have my work cut out for me as her main supporter. The way you have made it sound; I will be more powerful than even you four individually before too long."

Botan Date: "That is because you will be. As much as it hurts my pride to say. Shall we work on a training regime to get you started on the elemental end of your abilities?"

Tsubasa Endo: "That would be great. It is almost as if that stone helped to force my abilities awake. Is it supposed to do that?"

Botan Date: "Yes, yes it does for some. Since you are basically of the royal bloodline, it boosted you with little to no effort. I should have your sister come back here and do the same. Give me a moment, and I will be back."

Tsubasa Endo: "Sure no problem."

Swiftly leaving the stone room, he headed for the library, seeing she was not there, he walked to her room where he found her deep in study at her desk. Walking in, he softly placed a hand on her shoulder. She startled momentarily before looking up at him.

Kaida Endo: "Oh, Botan, what is it""

Botan Date: "I have just thought of a method to help you after speaking with your brother. I believe it will help you out some as well with your abilities."

Kaida Endo: "Oh okay then. Where are we headed then?"
