He pushes back my hair. "Good morning, beautiful."
"Good morning, handsome."
"Ready to start the day?" He says, motivated.
"No," I say, covering myself with my blanket.
He pulls down my blanket. "I'm going to go get started on breakfast. Come out when you are ready."
I stay in bed, roaming on social media. I get up and pull back the tent to get out.
"The beast has shown her self."
"Rude!" I say, giggling. "Whatcha makin?" I ask him.
"Eggs and bacon."
"I hope it's still good from being in the cooler overnight."
"It is. I restored the ice last night."
I sit down on the foldable chair. "I have already thought about what we will be doing today."
"And what is that?"
"Swimming, crafts, putt-putt golf, arcade, and whatever else there is."
"We leave tomorrow, so let's squeeze everything in today."
I pop up from the chair. "Then let's go!"
"Sit down and wait for the food to be done."
"Ugh, fine."
I went back on my phone while Lucas continues to fry up the bacon and prepare the eggs.
"Breakfast is served! Eat up!" He says, making me a plate.
Lucas and I ate the yummy small breakfast that he made. We are on our way to the craft room. It opens at 1 pm, and right it's 12:45.
"Good afternoon, everyone! We have various crafts that you can make! Go explore and choose one that speaks to you! Instructors are dressed in blue. They will be glad to help! Have fun!" A woman instructor shouts nicely,
We look around at the different tables full of crafts.
"Oh!!" I say, hauling Lucas to the bracelet table. "Let's get matching bracelets."
He puts his arm around my shoulder. "Okay."
We sit ourselves down. I struggle to figure out how it starts.
"Do you need help?" An instructor asks me.
"Yes, I don't know how to start these."
He leans over me from behind. "No one ever does." He says, laughing. He loops the material and starts it for me. He smiles. "There you go, beautiful!"
"Thanks..." I say, looking for a name tag.
"Justin."
"Thanks, Justin."
Lucas gives him a dirty look.
Justin looks at Lucas. "Hollar my name if you ever need more help!"
"Will do!" I turn to Lucas. "What was that look for?"
"He was flirting."
"He was just being friendly. And if he was, what's wrong with that?"
"I don't like it..."
"Jealousy looks cute on you," I say, giving him a quick peck on the cheek.
We finished our bracelets. We did light blue and dark blue. It took us an hour to do. We are off to miniature golf. We got our clubs and golf balls and ready to game on!
"Shit. Lucas, my ball went into the water." I say, bummed out.
"Haha, game over for you. Wanna go do something else? It's kinda boring, and my back is getting sore."
"Sure, oldie," I reply.
We decided to end the day with swimming and then the arcade. We went back to our site to change. The lake was packed but wasn't too packed, if you know what I mean. It's a little smelly, but I got used to its pungent scent.
"Should we get going before the arcade closes?"
"Yes, let's go," I answer.
"One more thing." He says, picking me up and slamming me into the water.
"Ow! My back!" I say, laughing in pain.
He helps me up. "Try taking me down."
"You are too heavy."
"Are you calling me fat?"
"Nah, I'm calling me weak," I say, flexing my arm.
He laughs. "Let's go."
"I haven't been to an arcade in forever," I say, looking around.
"Forever? Girl, I'm almost 30. You don't know forever."
"Ew, don't remind me."
His jaw drops to the floor. "Rude."
I smirk. "Let's go get coins."
We get our coins. I bought my own, and he bought his own. I saved up a lot of money from babysitting. I'm going to try this year to get a fast-food job.
"I'm going to go play Pacman."
"Why not any newer games?" I ask curiously.
"Pacman is my shit."
"Suit yourself," I say, walking over to the game where you put a token in and you try to knock some out.
It's been thirty minutes. I have won a few tickets.
Lucas walks up to me. "Ready to go turn them in?"
"Yeah, let's go."
We get to the small prize section of the arcade.
"How can I help you two?" A polite woman speaks.
We look around in the glass case.
"I would like a ring pop," Lucas says, pointing at the flavor he wants.
"Okay, that will be 25 tickets."
He hands the lady the tickets and she hands Lucas the ring pop.
"Um... Can I get the Camp KOA keychain?"
"Of course, it will be 55 tickets."
I smile. "Here you go!" I say, handing her the tickets. I got 3 left.
"Have a great night, you two!"
"You too," I say, walking off with Lucas.
We get outside when the sun is nearly done setting.
Lucas gets on one knee. "Will you do the honors and take this wonderful tasty ring as a next step into our friendship.
"Of course!" I say in a fun tone.
He slides in on my pointer finger.
I look at the ring pop and then him. "Can I eat it?"
"Yes, you may."
