The Kidnapping

Miracle's POV

It has been two months since I found out the truth about Jaxson and Amanda's relationship. She asked my father's permission to stay at the penthouse of the Miracle's Hotel, and my father granted her wish easily, I stayed at the estate most of the time, I don't want to be near Amanda after we fought that day, she feels the same way too.

My dad and I had a serious talk after the incident, I promised him to stay away from Jaxson if he will help his mom, even Jax hurt me so much I still wanted to help him with his problems regarding his mom's sickness. I believe him, I know Jax was telling the truth, I was so happy that my father agreed to my conditions. I want to see Jax, but I don't want to complicate my life again, I know Amanda will get in the way.

Jaxson finally stopped calling and texting me after one month that I ignored all his calls and texts. My father informed me that Jaxson's mom started her chemotherapy cycle, and I am glad that she is showing progress. At least I had done something for him, actually I am not directly helping Jax, I really want to help her mom, because I know what it feels like living without a mother. Maybe that was the purpose of meeting him. I believe there is a reason why our paths converge, maybe it was because of her mother.

It hurts to think that he cheated and hurt me, somehow I am happy that I was able to help his mom. I am currently in our school library, I am answering my homework in advance, I didn't go to the cafeteria to eat my lunch, since I am avoiding Amanda, when I noticed someone is standing behind me, I slowly turned around, and I am shocked to find Amanda smiling at me.

"Hello Mira, can we talk?" She asked, Amanda is still smiling at me, I am wearing a confused expression on my face, I am wondering what happened to her why she suddenly become friends with me again. Even though I am puzzled by her unexpected change of mood, deep in my heart I am happy that finally my best friend reach out to me once again, I hope everything goes back to normal, I want Amanda to return to her old self.

"Sure, but we can't talk here in the library." I said, I am still having a second thought about her motives, but I want Amanda back, so I ignored all my worries. I close my book and notes, then I put all my things back in my bag. We walked out from the library silently together.

"Mira, I'm so sorry, I messed up, I hurt you so badly, I want to be your best friend again, please forgive me

Miracle." Amanda said, the moment we sit at the buddy bench found on the side of the school ground. I am shocked by what I heard, I thought I was just dreaming, I smiled and hug Amanda.

"Of course Amanda, I want everything to go back to normal between us, I miss you so much." I said, I can't explain the happiness I felt at the moment, I am so happy to be reconciled with my best friend again.

"Thank you, for giving me another chance Mira, I am so glad that you are not angry with me anymore." Amanda said seriously.

"Of course, that is what best friends are for, I'm sorry Amanda, I didn't intend to kick you, but you left me no choice you bit me." I said, then she laughed.

"Yeah! It was all my fault, I was selfish and a bad cousin and a best friend, I don't know what had gotten into me." Amanda said, then she looked at me earnestly.

"Jaxson was my first love Miracle, but I lost him because of my own stupidity, to tell you honestly he doesn't want to do it at first, but I threatened to break up with him, that is why he agreed to be part of my plan, but he fell in love with you, I was really hurt that time, I couldn't accept it when he confessed to me that he doesn't want me anymore, because he can't fight the strong feelings he has for you, and he hates me now." I can feel the devastation on Amanda's voice.

"But I don't want to spend my entire life waiting for him to love me again because it will never happen judging by the way he cherished you, and I already moved on and Ryan is my official boyfriend now." She said, I don't know how to react, if she really loves Jax, I think two months is not enough time to get over with someone you really love, but I don't want to have another argument with Amanda, I just got her back, so I didn't comment, I just listen to her until the bell rings signaling that lunchtime is over.

Amanda returned to the estate that night, and we spend time together in the swimming pool the following day since it was Saturday. She is wearing her new black bikini, and I am wearing my old favorite red one piece swimsuit. We were laying on the chaise lounges beside the pool when Amanda looked at me seriously, I suddenly felt nervous.

"Miracle I have a favor to ask you, can you accompany me tomorrow?" She asked.

"Do you want to go shopping tomorrow?" I answered her with a question.

"No! I will be meeting Ryan tomorrow afternoon, please Miracle, I miss you that is why even though I am meeting with my boyfriend, I still wanted to spend more time with you, please Mira." Amanda is giving me puppy eyes, she looked so cute and pretty, I know I can't resist her, I just nod at her.

"Thank you, Mira!" She looks so happy and excited, seeing Amanda looks so joyful makes me smile too.

"Miracle, can we go alone, I mean without any bodyguards?" Amanda asked me, and I am shocked, she knows I can't go out without any bodyguards.

"You know I can't Amanda." I said.

"Just this once Miracle."

"I am not sure about that, Amanda, I can't lie to Johnny, especially now that Dad is out of the country again, nowadays dad travels without telling me when he is coming back, I know he is doing it on purpose, he doesn't want me to date again. He wants me to stay at home all the time, maybe until I graduate High School." I can feel that something is not right, why she wants me to go out alone with her.

"Miracle, don't worry I will call uncle Thomas, I will be the one to ask permission, and regarding Johnny and the other bodyguards, don't worry Miracle I will take care of them, I promise you, we will have some fun this time, and I will make sure that you will definitely enjoy this time Miracle, think of this as my apology treat." She said.

"Okay, but please don't hurt them Amanda, promise me that this time no one will lose a job, make it sure that my Dad will never find out that we will go out without any bodyguard." I said worried."

"Promise, leave it to me

Miracle, I know I caused a lot of troubles lately, because of me, many bodyguards lost their jobs, I felt guilty thinking about their family who depend on them financially." Amanda said, I can feel her sincerity.

"Yes! Many bodyguards who had been fired, the bodyguards now are all new except for Johnny." I said, I felt relieved that Amanda is not doing something stupid this time.

"What are you going to do with them tomorrow?" I asked, I wasn't able to hide my curiosity.

"Relax, I will not harm them okay? I know you think I am a witch, I know I have been a bad girl lately, but I am not that bad Miracle."

"I didn't say that Amanda."

"Yeah! Not in my face, but you can't deny it Miracle, I am a bitch, but I am trying my best to be good now, I don't want to lose you, there is something I want to tell you Miracle, but not now." I can see the sadness in her eyes.

"What you mean by that Amanda?" I asked curiously.

"Nothing Miracle." She said, and she left running inside the mansion, I don't understand her sudden change of behavior, yet I am still happy that my cousin is finally back. I hope all she said was true, I want the old Amanda back.

I could not sleep well because I was thinking about Amanda's invitation, at the end I have only slept a little. I spend my morning answering all my assignments, I study in advance for our next week's upcoming examination. Amanda stayed in my room and studied with me, after we eat our lunch together, Amanda excused herself and went to her room. I felt suddenly dizzy and I felt so sleepy.

I feel so disoriented when I open my eyes, I can't see anything, everything is black in my surroundings, and I can't move my hands and legs. The last time I remember I was eating my lunch in our mansion, where am I? I can feel the hard floor, and I realized my eyes are fully covered with blindfold, and my hands and feet were securely bound. I never feel so scared in my entire life, I think something happened in the mansion, where is Amanda? I wanted to scream, but I want to know where I am, I was lying on the cold floor, then I heard murmurs within the area.

"Hello! Is there anyone in there" I shouted.

"Finally, she is awake." I heard someone talked.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"Well, you don't need to know us, it is enough that we know you." He said, my whole body trembled in fear.

"What do you want from me? Where is Amanda?" I asked, I can't help myself to panic.

"If I were you, you better shut up, we have been calling your father, but it seems he doesn't care about you, he won't answer his phone." Another man said, his voice sounds so familiar, yet I can't remember who he is. Is he one of the bodyguards who had been fired? Are they doing this because they want to get back to my father?

"My father is a busy man, and yes he doesn't care about me, because his only concern is his businesses, that is why you are only wasting your time." I said.

"You can't fool us Miracle, your father loves you, he dedicated all his life being a good father to you." I think there are three of them.

"Keep calling Bob, maybe he is still in the middle of a conference." Said the first man who talked.

"Bill, I think we better remove her blindfold now, the moment her father wired the money, we are still going to kill her anyway, so I guess, it is better that she knows who killed her." My tears fall from my face, I feel my whole world tumbled down, I am thinking about my father, what will happen to him if he will find out that I am kidnapped, I hope he will not give them what they want, they are going to kill me anyway.

I felt so helpless and I lost my hope, I am thinking deeply how they got into the mansion, we have a lot of bodyguards, I can't imagine what really happened since I am one hundred percent sure I was transported in this place after I lost consciousness. Oh! No! Someone inside the mansion did all this, I just hope that Amanda is fine.

"Where is your girlfriend Ryan?"

"I asked her to do some errands for me."

Ryan? Now, it is all clear to me, that is why his voice is so familiar, I couldn't believe all this, Amanda fooled me for the second time, and this time, she really wants me to die, I hate myself for trusting her again, My mind is trying to think of an escape, but I know it will be useless, I know they have guns, my martial skills are useless this time, I can't fight them, I am so powerless.

"Why Ryan? What have I done to you?" I asked him angrily.

"Wow! You are really intelligent Miracle, I think your blindfold is pointless right now." Ryan said, then I felt he moved to my side, then in one swift moment he takes off the covering of my eyes, I slowly opened my eyes, and the brightness of the whole place is blinding me, that is why I immediately close my eyes back, then I reopen it again, I tried my best to adjust my eyes to the light within the entire room.

I don't know how long I have been in their possession, but I can feel that it is evening already. I looked around and find Ryan sitting at the center of the room, and I was mistaken, there are five of them, they all looked so young and well-built, except the man on the far end corner, he looks like on his late forties, yet he still looks so strong, and judging by his face he is the leader of their group. Each one of them is holding a gun on their hands.

"Ryan, please unbind my hands and feet, I can't fight, and I am so powerless, so please just let me sit properly, I know you are going to kill me anyway." I am looking at his eyes, he looked at me blankly.

"Please!" I am begging them to untie my hands and feet, I am glad at last, Ryan listened to my request, he cut the knots on my wrists and feet.

They all looked so scary in my eyes now, I tried to look around again to see possible gateway, but I realized it was impossible. I can't do anything right now. I can see Bob is still dialing my father's number, I am praying that he will never answer, so that they will get tired and at the end they will release me, it was just a wishful thinking, I should have listened to my Dad.

After one hour finally my father answered their calls through FaceTime, Ryan got up immediately and put a duct tape on my mouth, and he bound my wrists once again. They put black mask on their faces, only their eyes can be seen.

"Good evening Mr. White." I heard Bob said.

"Who are you people?" My Dad asked angrily upon seeing their masked face.

"Relax Mr. White, we have here the most precious thing in your life." Bob said, then he moved the camera in my direction, Ryan pulled me up, I can see the shocked and horror in my father's eyes.

"Please don't hurt my daughter, I will give you anything you want, just don't lay a finger on my daughter." My father said, I can't control my tears that keep pouring on my cheeks. I can feel the worries and fright in my father's voice.

"Now listen, Mr. White, we will send you the details where you can wire the money and the ransom amount we want from you, just follow all our demands, and we will keep your daughter safe." Bod said calmly.

"Yes! I will follow your demands just don't hurt Miracle." My Dad is pleading. I shake my head, I want to tell my dad that he doesn't need to send the money because the moment they get the money, they will kill me, but I can't talk to him, since my mouth is fully covered with the duct tape.

I attempted to use my feet to give him signal, but Bob immediately turn the camera away from me, I suddenly miss my father, I feel so sad that I won't be able to hug him again, I don't want him to lose me, for my father already lost my mom, it would be very painful for him.

I am not afraid to die, but I am too young to leave this world behind, I am just glad at least I met Jaxson and I experience love before I am kidnapped, even though our love story was cut short, I am still thankful for the experience. This is what my father feared the most, he made it sure that I am safe all the time, but Amanda planned everything perfectly. Who could have thought that my father adopted a traitor in the family, she is the mastermind behind all this.
