Planning and execution: part 3

All of them stared at Veronica with wide eyes. What was she doing here? They were happy that they managed to separate those two, only for her to come back here. With her here, all she would need to do that was to remove the amulet from the tree and Ecthra would become free. 

They adapted an alert stance as soon as they sensed the danger emitting out of her. The surprise of her presence superseded the surprise of her ability to see the ghosts even without Ecthra.

"What"? Veronica frowned, "Not so happy to see me"? She asked them in a mocking tone.

"Stay where you are"! Chloe shouted at her with tremendous amount of resentment. 

"When have I ever listened to you sister"? She smirked at her. 

Baffled, Chloe replied "Doesn't matter, I will stop you irrespective of what you do". Chloe announced with utmost determination. 

"Are you sure? If you kill me you disappear yourself. And if I die, my people will come after your family". She smirked.
