Prime Successor

Artirian's body would slowly fall on the bloody ground, his Bokken sword would drop on the ground as its misty aura deteriorated. His face would be covered with blood and dirt with a mix of sweat. His tunic would be battered with cuts and the intense rainfall still occurred throughout the forest. Then another bugle would sound and then horses trot would be heard and then shouting next comes the noise of swords being unsheathed.

Then the Heaven City Knight Brigade entered the battlefield that Artirian and some of the bandits fought. The Heaven City Knight Brigade were astonished at how the battle was so bloody. And all of the survivors either fled or on the ground laying dead. There were no witnesses so they didn't know where to start or were to investigate. But for what they know it was the Kara Syndicate, one of the Syndicates who ruled from the shadows in Heaven City.

The Knight would begin to investigate the remains of the dead bodies they found no breathing in the first hour of the body search.Then they found a breathing body of Artirian who looked like he fought with the bandits. The first thing the Heaven City knight brigade did was to ask for a diviner to heal the injuries that Artirian receives.

He was picked up and put on a stretcher before being moved to a makeshift tent near the outer forest. It was a camp for the Heaven City Knight Brigade. Artirian was placed on a makeshift bed and was healed slowly by the Diviners that were members of the Heaven City Knight Brigade. Soon the Knight Captain would enter the Diviners tent.

"Mhm Is he not awake yet healer?" The Captain Knight said with an ambivalent feeling that is lingering in him. The Diviner replied with a soft sigh and said "His wounds are deep and some are almost in the most deadly part of the body that is why this person will need to be transported to the Diviner hall in the city for him to recover much faster." The Captain Knight stated "Well if that is your suggestion we will move him to the Diviner hall in the City."

Then the Heaven City Knight Brigade would pack their things up and then moved to the main road heading towards Heaven City. The journey would take 2 more days before entering Heaven City. and the Divine Empire MIlitary Academy Entrance Exam would be happening in the next 2 months of the calendar. The Heaven City Knight Brigade reached the Heaven city much faster because of certain circumstances. Artirian's body was brought to the Diviner hall temple and to have immediate care.

Artirian would be placed on a white bed in a room that is almost empty; it only has a bed that is only for 1 person, a side table and a lamp. A closet and a study table. But for others it was clearly empty. The floors were not that polished, the walls are quite old. And the smell is like a smell that has been stuck for centuries.

Next was there were 2 Diviners who were enchanting some kind of gallant forces to enhance their capabilities. Artirian Bokken sword was in the hands of the Captain Knight but rather did not take it and only placed it near Artirian side table. He was also curious on how Artirian would be able to survive in that kind of scenario. That is why the Knight Captain would do a background check on Artirian and what is his past and current affiliation

The Knight captain would then get a message about Artirian from a local guard that came from the Moon Scar City and was transferred to Heaven City. From that guard known Artirian was the past Commanding officer of the 12th shock Infantry who recently gave victory in Moon Scar city Siege the last 5 weeks.

The Knight Captain was shocked by that information and at first he didn't believe but only gave much more information when he received another chilling fact about Artirian. He came from the outpost of the Great strategist General Thornwind. The Knight captain would give a startled face as he read the information from the scroll that was given to him.

Soon He quickly managed to walk towards the room where Artirian was resting. He would look again at the scroll information he got and looked at the young boy he was currently looking at laying on bed. Then the Knight Captain would then quickly go out of the room and head to the Knight Commander officer located at the other side of the Diviner temple to report on the Artirian alive body.

When the Knight commander heard of this information he quickly slammed the table "How come I Didn't know that there would be an important guest that we are going to help." The Knight captain would feel a bit awkward as if the Knight Commander only worries about status. Being a Probationary Lt rank is higher to a Knight Commander that is why the Knight Commander reactions are like that.

The Knight Captain would then stand firmly as the Knight Commander would get all the talk about how he did not know while the Knight Captain would have an unfavorable face on the Knight Commander. "Knight Captain I want to make sure that boy named Artirian would have a great day in our city and how long would he stay inside the Diviner Temple?" The Knight Captain would reply in a distressed kind of tone of voice " Well Sirr to be honest Artirian injuries are much more delicate as for now. The Diviners are also worried that if Artiiran doesn't wake up in a few weeks he may be announced as dead." The Knight Commander would fall on his seat. His face would be depressed his hands would shake and his eyes widened. His lips would curve down and he would stare at his table.

Then The Knight Captain would be dismissed and was headed out to Artirian room. Once he reached the Diviner temple he would enter Artiiran room he would see 2 Diviners would get out from the room and he would ask the situation of Artirian but they would only look at him like a child that cannot survive a certain situation.

The Knight Captain would then head towards the room and enter. He would see Artirian laying on the bed and his Bokken sword would be filled with misty Aura again. And then the Knight Captain was a bit tempted to hold the Bokken Sword but because of his gallant force he managed to disrupt the frantic noise that came from the Bokken Sword.

Artirian POV

"I feel like I am floating. This feeling is like the feeling when I lose my consciousness back then I feel I am back to that palace so empty there is no new meaning in here. Am I just alone or am I pretending that I am still looking for my answer to be answered" I look up and would see a flashing light I would look down and all to see are black nothing emptiness.

I was prepared to fight with those bandits even if it cost my life but I Don't know that the Bokken Sword would give me such tremendous power. Then came a loud voice echoed throughout the place. A beast flying long tailed with a monstrous face. It has 4 legs and sharp claws it has teeths that can cut through flesh and much of it. His face is not a mere beast but a Holy Beast. Holy beasts are known to possess tremendous power and what I am seeing right is a Holy beast.

" You, Young Boy has faced many challenges. I am glad that you are still Alive I am Drakneel, one of the few Holy beasts that once ruled this world but at a certain age I must rest. And for you Young Boy I must pass my knowledge and you can become what I became from the past. The Ruler the Emperor."

"What? A ruler and Emperor I never dream about becoming like those types of persons" I spoke with an assertive tone.

Then replied the Holy beast as it looks like an angry Beasts showing his sharp teeth

"I see the determination and prowess in you. And I want you to become what I became and that is my order, not the way you wanted to be and it is not easy to just deny the outcome of what has been destined and for you to accept my power you must learn the real way of strengthening your physique and your core."

"I-I- I will accept your offer but if I die in the process?" my hands are shaking because of the intimidating aura.

"I am here to guide you Young boy before I.. I leave this place. I will place you as my inheritor but you will still experience hardships and some that seek my power and soon my followers will follow you."

Artirian body suddenly releases a dark orange aura from his body then from the side of his arm there a insignia a seal of the pact that a holy beast is assigning and granting him to be the prime successor.
