Chapter 8

" Ahhhhhhhhhh.... " screamed the cannon fodder who decided it was a good idea to climb down the side of the tower.

" Well at least we know that climbing down the side is the wrong choice. " Killua said as he watched.

" Yep. " Gon agreed.

" He did his job splendidly. " Kurapika said as he nodded his head in satisfaction.

" So how are we supposed to get down? " Leorio asked as he looked around.

" Don't know. Paintbrush head do you know? " Killua asked as he looked around.

" And he's not here. Why isn't he here?! " Killua asked in annoyance.

" Guess he found the trick. " Gon said happily.

" Hmm true. But what is it? " Kurapika thought as he looked around.

" Fuck yeah!! " Satoru yelled.

As soon as he stepped on a tile, he fell through and right on top of a waterside. Grinning he sat and enjoyed the ride.

" Shit!! " Satoru yelled as he fell off the end.

* boom *

Falling from a high height, Satoru cannonballed into the large pool of water below.

Coming to the surface, he imitated being Jesus and stood on top of the water.

" God that was fun! " Satoru muttered with a grin.

Satoru started walking towards the dry area and stood in front of the wall, which was a secret door.

" Hoho. So how did you enjoy the introduction? " said the familiar voice of Netero.

" It was pretty fun old man. It's nice to revert back to a child sometimes and just let go. "

" So true. Anyway in front of you should be a watch. "

" Yep. Got it. " Satoru said as he put it on.

" The watch tells you how much time you have left to complete the phase. Your goal is get through all the challenges. That's all. Have fun with that. " Netero said.

" Oh I will. Just make it interesting. " Satoru yelled.

The secret door opened as Satoru walked in with a grin on his face.

" Was that really necessary chairman? " asked one of the employees.

" Pretty much yes. Anyway what does he have to do first? " Netero asked.

" He has to face off against a criminal. "

" Can he use Nen? "

" Nope. After this though he will get Nen opponents. "

" Alright. Also for his last challenge.. "

* thud *

Satoru dropped his opponents head to the ground as he looked at the now open door.

' Well this was just the first trial. The next few should be more interesting. ' Satoru thought as he walked through the door.

He walked into a room where he saw someone in front of him.

" So you are my opponent. Well this is will be fun. If I win I get 30 years off my sentence! Let's finish this fast! " said his opponent. He then raised his arms to the side.

" Come. Show me what you got! Unless your to scared! " He said with a provoking smile.

Satoru said nothing as he reached into his pocket and whipped it at his opponent.

* whoosh *

His opponent couldn't move as something hit him on the side of the head.

* boom *

His head flew back as blood started pouring out of it.

' gah!! ' He thought as he fell to the floor and rolled backwards.

Blood kept pouring out but he was still able to move. With a smile on his face he quickly got up as his smile became similar to a psychos.

" This is enough. Time to die bitch!! " He said as his Nen covered his body. His body become covered in a golden light as his hair became a gold colour.

He then disappeared and reappeared in front of Satoru who meerly watched on with a smirk.

* boom *

The floor behind Satoru broke as his opponents fist stopped in front of him. He was shocked as he tried to get closer but couldn't.

He stopped and jumped back. He looked at Satoru, trying to understand what happened.

" Oh what's wrong? Didn't you say it was time for me to die? I'm not dead yet. You really shouldn't say stuff that you can't actually do. It makes you look bad. " Satoru said with provoking tone of voice.

His opponent got angry and annoyed as his aura flared up. He then rushed at Satoru with his fist held back.

Satoru just shook his head as the fist approached. Satoru did nothing as his opponent changed course and went behind him for a punch to the back of Satorus head.

Satoru noticed that most of his aura was put into his fist. Satoru smirked as he stepped to the right avoiding the blow.

His opponent was shocked he managed to dodge. He looked at Satoru who was grinning at him. Satoru whipped his hand which was covered in cursed energy and..

* stab *

Blood started pouring out as Satorus hand exited out through his opponents back, with his heart in Satrous hand.

Satoru said nothing as he ripped his hand from the body with the heart.

* thud *

The body fell to the floor as his opponent eyes were wide open from shock and his face was pale at the moment he died.

Satoru just looked at the body and threw the heart at it. He then looked at the now open door, walking through not sparing a glance at the corpse.

* boom *

Kurapika smashed the insignificant background character into the arena. His eyes glowed red but was covered up by the contacts he wore.

Silence gained over the arena as Kurapika walked away from the body that may or may not be dead.

No one spoke as Kurapika walked back yo his group and sat down. Killua wasn't fazed by his actions while Gon was curious as to why Kurapika was acting like this, ignoring the criminal.

Leorio backed away as he knew Kurapika needed space. He held his tongue not wanting to anger Kurapika further while Tonpa just stayed silent.

" Get Kurapika why are you angry? " Gon asked completely ignoring Leorios distressed face that was telling him to stop.

" Hmm oh don't worry Gon. I'll be back to normal soon. I just saw something that made me angry. " Kurapika stated as he sat on the ground.

" Okay then. Well I don't mind giving you a few seconds to calm down but can you at least kill that guy or make him surrender so we can get the point and move on. " Killua asked with a non chalont attitude.

" Ah that's right. Please Kurapika can you at least do that? " Gon asked.

Kurapika stared at the 2 of them as Gon used the puppy dog eye jutsu. Kurapika stared at Gons face with a cold look as Gon just looked at him more.

Kurapika eyes became colder and gave off some murderous intent bit Gon just widened his eyes as he looked at Kurapika.

Kurapika stared harder till he hung his head low.

" Sigh alright. Give me a moment. " Kurapika said.

" Yes. " Gon cheered as Kurapika sighed as he got up and walked towards the side character. Killua just blinked a few times while having his cat face on as he looked at Gon.

' Damn that is one powerful technique. 'Killua thought.

Kurapika walked up to the body, picked him up by the hair and dragged to the edge of the arena.

' Hmm he was pretty weak. 'Kurapika thought. Once the anger was flushed out of his veins he could think clearly again.

' Beating him was easy. That spider tattoo was just a scare tactic. ' Kurapika thought. He then thought about the incident on the boat when Satoru stopped that giant waterspout.

' He is way weaker. The phantom troupe must be somewhere around Satorus level but just a bit lower. Satoru said I'll get what I need to get my revenge when I pass the hunters exam.

But until then I'll just enjoy my time with them.'Kurapika thought as he glanced at his friends.

He reached the edge of the arena with the side character and tensed his arm.

" Well this is my win. " Kurapika said as he got ready to throw him off the side of the arena.

" Wait I surrender!! I surrender!!! " Side character yelled.

" Hmm okay. " Kurapika said as he dropped him and walked back to his friends.

" Yes another point! " Gon yelled.

" Kurapika you're not mad anymore. " Gon asked.

" Not really. I'm calm now. " Kurapika said with a small smile on his face.

" That's good. Hey quick question. How do you think paintbrush head is doing? " Killua asked.

" He'll be fine. " Leorio said.

" Leorio is right for once. " Kurapika said

" Hey! "

" Satoru is much stronger than us. He'll pass. " Kurapika said.

" I see. But why do you think so? " Killua asked as he noticed that they had the utmost confidence in Satoru.

" Oh that. When we came here, our first test was by boat and a big waterspout was going to hit the ship but Satoru stopped it. " Gon said happily.

" I'm sorry what? He.. stopped.. it. " Killua repeated.

" Yep. He disappeared and the waterspout was gone. It was so cool. I just don't know how he did that. " Gon said.

'What the fuck? Stopping a waterspout!!? That shouldn't be possible but they arnt saying it isn't true! ' Killlua thought as he looked at Leorio and Kurapika.

' Just how strong is he!!?? 'Killua thought.

" Hmm could someone be talking about me? " Satoru muttered.

* thud *

" Well whatever it seems I'm done. " Satoru said to himself as he walked towards the open door, walking past the 40+ corpses.
