The Professional Competition!

Travis opened his eyes, "They're here."

"Dot! Explain yourself!"

"I already have."

"You expect us to just give up such crucial resources?! Don't make us laugh!"

"Expect you? No, it's required. If you don't comply, you will face the same outcome."

"Your arrogance will be your downfall!"

"Your arrogance is causing your downfall! You're some mid level guild who happened to stake claim on this mid level dungeon. Ever guild who does this will face the same problem: Me."

"Ridiculous, you're only challenging us because we aren't the top Guilds. You're too afraid to challenge them!"

"Ha, they're next. Just you watch, this power you think you have… Watch as I crush it."

A pressure expanded over the Guild and the players all turned to corpses. Instead of waiting this time Travis opened the game system panel and inspected the date, "The official competition will be soon… Once that update is out I can challenge the higher level Guilds."

Travis scrolled through the available tickets, the Physical Seat package was already sold out. He considered purchasing the Virtual Seat for his own entertainment. After all he hadn't actually seen the competitions due to how busy he was before.

He pinched his chin, "Wait, the last victors was them. However will it change due to the butterfly effect?"

With such thoughts in his mind he purchased a ticket, he plan to spectate the competition himself.

"Boss… these guys…"

"I said stop calling me Boss!"

"Yes Boss- Keya."

The aqua blue haired player, named Keya, looked at his team, "So, what's your opinions?"

Feyn spoke, "Ha, they're a little skilled. However with such weak opponents we should handle them easily."

A dark green eyed female lifted a potion and swirled it, "I think they were a little strong…"

Keya nodded, "So let's improve as much as possible before the official competition. Granted that we don't fight them beforehand."

"Yes Boss!"

"Argh!"

"I-I mean Keya!"

The Preliminary rounds went smoothly. The party had little issue taking on a whole team by themselves, so what would happen if they worked together?

A massacre.

Every team that was matched with them were slaughtered easily. Despite the few rare moments when they were caught off guard by some odd ability, the matches were very straightforward.

Not to say that their opponents were unskilled. If anything they were the cream of the crop. Just compared to the party…

There was no need for comparison.

As they finished their final round an announcement was made across the entire server:

Kan'na sorted through the various notifications before stating, "We're going to be mailed some special cards along with our formal invitation."

The only person this was directed at was Akiol, who couldn't use the game system interface. With a nod signifying he heard he asked, "When's the official thing?"

"In a week."

"That's a bit of time."

"Probably to organize everything and rest."

"So a week of free time hmm? Anything you guys want to do in particular?"

As the announcement was made the Forums exploded in activity. Posts being made about theoretical winning teams and players. People posting clips they managed to collect by spectating. Debates and conversations. Even cheering for those who had fans. Posts as such were everywhere. However one gained the most traction:

-Who's Going To Win? Debate:-

As the post says, let's start a friendly debate on who's going to win each section. Personally I'm only interested in the bigger battles. So my guessed team is Bakery Basics, these guys managed to become so strong in so little time!

DementedMelon221: Baker Basics?! Those guys can go back to the kitchen and make me some pastries. No way some newbie team going to take down Determined Souls.

-SugoiHerald: LOL Determined Souls? Determination can't get you far…

BigJelly: What I want to know is who the hell Six Lights is! They absolutely destroyed my favorite team!

-Jaja647: Right?! Talk about a Dark Horse!

—NanasTreasure5: Six Lights isn't some new team. They were the first to take down a Land Guardian after all.

—-OraDine: The *only* one to take down a Land Guardian. Guilds are struggling to replicate the feat currently.

TreesLive891: I don't care who wins, just somebody defeat Venturing Yonder. I'm so jealous!

-StainedPurple33: ^This, guy legit has his own harem. Somebody stop him for the sake of everyone.

—JimmyChickdn: ^Seconded! Whoever takes them down will have my full support as a fan!

A heated debate spread across the comments. As everyone posted their opinions and others refuting them. Despite all of this happening, the party was slowly gaining some fame.

Additionally, it wasn't only fans who were browsing the forums. The players who made it into the competition were using the week of free time to gather some info on their opponents. The Forums was a fantastic place to start.

As the community buzzed with newfound vigor more tickets were sold. Making the revenue almost completely cover the costs of building A World's Arena.

Slowly A World's Legacy began to draw more players. Increasing its already large player base steadily.

———————————————————————-

A week passed in the blink of an eye, almost not enough time for most players. In front of a large building thousands of people were crowding into the entrance.

Akiol inspected the place, "Man, this could be dangerous."

He had to speak up, for the constant buzz of people created a loud atmosphere. Wrock nodded in agreement, "To much excitement, hopefully it'll calm down during the next one."

The party did not join the crowd of people. Instead they headed for a side entrance which had a significant reduction in a crowd.

There was a single guard keeping an eye on its entrance.

They walked up to the guard who held out a hand, "If you have a ticket please go to the main entrance."

The party showed their special cards. It showed a unique symbol with their team name underneath it. The guard inspected them and nodded, moving to the side and beckoning them in.

As they entered they felt a unique atmosphere. It was simultaneously loud and quiet. They could feel tons of activity, yet there was only a single person walking towards them.

It was a man in a suit, a bright smile on their face. They held out their hands in a warming gesture, "Hello! Team Six Lights, we've been expecting your arrival. Allow me to bring you to your waiting room."

The party followed behind the man as he was explaining, "Since we personally invited you we naturally made sure you wouldn't have to go through the trouble of finding a seat! We have special VIP rooms for you all. However if you wish we also have a room with all the other teams of six… If you want to introduce yourself that is."

He stopped in front of a door and opened it, "Your VIP seats, if you wish to go meet the other teams please press the yellow button inside and I will be with you shortly."

With a quick thanks the party entered the room. It was luxurious to say the least, couches were placed in various locations. Snacks were set off to a side table. TVs with the words 'match spectating screens' lay across the wall. However the most eye catching bit was the giant glass window that took up a single wall.

As they walked up to the glass wall and looked through it, a brilliant sight was to behold.

People buzzed around like ants in the arena. Chairs placed in a semi circle around a square elevated platform. On the platform holograms of the players appeared, basic info of them available to read. Such as their name and team.

Akiol was impressed, "They managed to get not only color down, but such realistic holograms? I'm sure these people are not regretting the money spent."

Kan'na nodded as she was scrolling through her phone, "It seems like Sixes are going to be the last matches."

It was stated on the purchasing site that the competition would be over the span of a few days. It was recommended that the Physical Seat only be purchased of the buyer did not mind staying at a hotel for a few days. The hotel room was not included in the Physical Seat package.

However those who made it into the official competition were given hotel rooms free of charge. After all they were the main event, couldn't have them leaving due to the fees.

The party enjoyed the sight for a bit. Truthfully they were a little excited.

Wrock walked over to the button, "Want to meet the other teams?"

No more preliminaries!

I used them as an excuse to power scale and show off the other members who failed to get a piece of the spotlight.

Unless you want an additional twenty to thirty chapters of:

Wait, Fight, Win

With this we can move onto the main course, the actual competition. The crux of this whole volume.

Buckle up! Because this may just not be an easy ride to victory…
