Yeah Because It's Me

Alex couldn't believe things actually worked out the way he wanted them to after nearly losing control and killing again. He had been so furious that someone dared to try and take Claire away against her will that he hadn't been acting rationally. It was a miracle he didn't end up arrested. He couldn't do that again.

He thought she would be furious with him but the conversation ended up going in a way he never would have expected. Now she was his girlfriend!

He knew that dating was considered fairly casual in terms of romantic entanglement but it was infinitely better than what he had before. He knew she was in love with him. That was more than enough to make him happy.

Alex said what he had been holding in all this time and Claire wasn't angry for it. She seemed to feel the same way he did about wanting to stay together. That meant more to him than he could say.
