At the Blue Town Police Station, the chief inspector was in his office speaking on phone to somebody when his door opened and his secretary walked in with Carlos Ryan.

''Yes, sir, I will do that'' he hung up and looked at Carlos Ryan and his secretary asking, ''what is this man doing here?''

''I believe the call just now was from the President's aid? I am the special agent sent to the station here to help in the investigation of the ongoing crime syndicates''

''How…?'' Colour drained from the inspector's face as he scanned Carlos Ryan from head to toe. He remembered him very well. After all, he was a part of the people who didn't treat him well and even wanted him to be sent to prison, but he was only following orders at that time, he didn't know that what he did would come back to bite him.

He had received a direct order from the President's office in Country H that a special agent was going to be dispatched to the town. The special agent was known to be someone who had special training and had accomplished a lot of things, apprehending criminals and even going to the extent of going undercover to help the country a year ago when the country was threatened by their enemy country.

He had tried to find out who he was but even with his connections, he couldn't still find out who he was, it turned out he was the one but what he didn't understand was how he had been able to turn the tides to his favour in just five years.

''I believe the media and everyone else is waiting to welcome me, you won't be the only one getting a surprise today. Since we are going to be working together, why don't we forget of the past and start on a new page?'' Carlos Ryan said to him and smiled.

''Yes, I am Chief Inspector Daniel, your direct supervisor'' he said and stretched his hand to shake his.

''I hope we work well together, Sir''

''Sure, everyone must be waiting, let's go''

Inside the police meeting hall, the media sat at one side with their notepads and recorders ready to record the event of the day.

Today, the President had appointed someone to come to the town and help fight the increasing crime rate. They had all heard from their sources that this person was highly proficient in his work and that he was also a person who hailed from the town itself. The only thing was that, this person was highly secretive that they didn't know who he was and were now only waiting for him to be formally introduced so that they could see his face.

Walking into the midst of the media and the police, Carlos Ryan knew this time around, he was on the path of no return and he was ready to face everything as long as it enabled him to be able to protect the one person he cared about.

For the first, time, I five years, he was back again, to the town where it all began and the people who started it all. This time around, he was back as someone who knew the law and had power to wrestle with those who tried to mess him up. He knew that whatever happened that year wasn't just because of the stalker, targeting Rosa. There was more to it and now that he was here, he intended to see it to the end.

The media was turned upside down; the moment they saw Carlos Ryan step into the stage along with the Chief Inspector. Who didn't know Carlos Ryan in Blue Town? It might have been five years since he suddenly disappeared but his name and face still remained fresh in the eyes of everyone because he was a popular idol who was accused of murder and was released based on lack of evidence.

There were mumbling all around as the media took more pictures than necessary. Even the police were shocked to discover that the person who was going to be the new in charge after the Chief Inspector turned out to be Carlos Ryan.

Picking an apple from the fridge, Rosa culled herself on the single sofa in the room and turned on the TV.

''Let's see what other surprises, you have, Special Agent Ryan''

Watching the TV and seeing the reactions of the people, Rosa chuckled as she bit into the apple, 'surprised, right? Even I was surprise to see him''

She smiled watching as the Chief Inspector introduced Carlos Ryan. The reporters started asking him a lot of questions but one particular person's question made her frown as she stared at the screen.

''Reporter Jung Lee'' Rosa murmured.

This man hadn't left her a leeway in the last five years. He had written a lot of malicious reports on her and her family, always stalking her family for news about her. In fact, he was part of the reason why Rosa feared to contact her family, because she didn't want them in the spotlight again.

Soon, the internet was on fire as netizens started their own speculations on how Carlos Ryan made his return as a detective. His news even brought up issues about Rosa who has been out of the public's eye for five years.

Scrolling through her phone, a call came from Scarlet and she answered it, ''hello Scar''

''Rosa, where are you? Did you watch the news? Something huge has happened, Carlos Ryan is back and guess what, he is now a police detective; a special agent'' Scarlet said in one breath and calmed down.

''You seem so excited than I am'' Rosa said over the phone.

''What? Did you know about this already?''

''I only found out last night when I coincidentally ran into him at the crime scene. That being said, had the case been officially handed over to you, yet?''

''No, the Chief Prosecutor hasn't said anything yet, but I really don't want to handle that case''

''I will see you at the office on Monday''

''Are you coming back?''

''Maybe?''

''That's great, I'm glad you decided to come back''

''I know you are curious but just hold it in, I will tell you everything later''

''Okay, see you on Monday''

''Bye'' Rosa hung up and smiled.

Carlos Ryan walked out of the conference hall and was immediately surrounded by the media. The reporters struggled to get closer in order to get a scoop from him.

''Carlos Ryan, can you tell us your story. How you became a special agent after leaving the entertainment industry for five years?''

''Carlos Ryan, were have you been all these years? Were you really training at the capital?''

''Now that you are back, is Prosecutor Ann also going to make an appearance?'' Jung Lee asked and the place turned silent. The focus was now on him and Carlos Ryan. He stood firm on his ground with his mic pointing at Carlos Ryan.

''Well, we will have to see about that'' Carlos Ryan said and smiled.

''Do you still keep in touch with her?'' he asked again.

''Well, we will have to see about that''

''What?''

''Reported Jung Lee, you can speak to actor Carlos Ryan anyhow you want but you can't speak to Special Agent Ryan that same way, you wouldn't want to get into my bad books just yet, right?''

'Those girls, do you intend to look into their case now that you are in the police service? You should at least do something to show that you really didn't have anything to do with their deaths''

''I was proven innocent by the law, if you have any doubts, as the victim's family, you can request for the case to be reopened. That is the only way the case will get investigated again. But, before that, you need to first of all hand over the initial evidence you showed to the police as evidence''

''What are you talking about?'' he pretended to not know anything about the evidence Carlos was talking about.

''I believe you know what I am talking about the most. Also, stop stalking me or I will be forced to get a restraining order on you'' he smiled and walked away.

Entering the Police Station, Carlos Ryan noticed the gazes of the policemen. He stopped in the middle of the large office area and introduced himself.

''I believe we don't need much introductions but for formalities sake, I am Special Agent Ryan and I will be working here. I hope we get along well''

''You are welcome to the Police Force S.A. Ryan?'' the chief of serious crimes unit was the first to speak and the others followed.

''I know this is all strange to you but I hope you look pass the past and let's work together to make this town a better place'' Carlos said and went ahead to shake their hands. The policemen now loosened their guards and started chatting with him.

At first, they were guarded against him because of the history between them in the past but seeing how he was free and nonchalant about it, they didn't feel pressured and naturally opened up to him.

''I will let detective Stuart fill you in on the latest case. You can handle it anyhow you want'' the chief of serious and violent crime units gave him the freedom to do whatever he wanted. He was someone from the capital, and they had all heard of his accomplishment. He was confident that Carlos Ryan was going to be able to handle the case quite well.
